My testomony

For years and years I tried and failed to give up the deadly weed trying the various methods available to me. Patches,Hypnosis, Champ-ix, Will power,Cutting down slowly. I tried them all.
I think my main problem with trying to give up smoking was that I actually enjoyed it! I say enjoy but that is probably the wrong description of my relationship with the weed.Tolerated the taste and put up with the heart palpitations, shortness of breath and the heavy feeling in my chest.
So I knew that they had to go, but i needed the cigarette after food or drink and the habitual break time one at work. To be honest, I really enjoyed about 5 of the 15-20 i was smoking per day. It wasn't really a cost thing either, as i was rolling my own and using tobacco sourced from outside the u.k. I had been on this smoking roller coaster for 30 years so I was firmly hooked into the way of life.
Then one day, thanks to my daughter Donna, I discovered the world of vaping. She had been vaping for a few months and to be honest i dismissed it initially has it looked pretty stupid.
Donna had been vaping for a couple of months and she thought that it would work for me because I'm pretty OCD (self diagnosed) and she figured that i would enjoy the new hobby with it's little side hobbies associated with vaping, like coil winding and DIY.
Turns out she was right.
I started (like most) with a kit of Genesis 510 cigalikes and quickly found out that the things actually worked. I was using this system for about a month but was getting through about 3 batteries a day.I was forever charging batteries and my job as a bus driver allowed me to even use the USB ports found in modern day vehicles. I started to forget about the genesis being charged in the bus and was leaving them plugged into the bus USB and ended up chasing down the bus to get them back!
So. Then i found ECF. Initially to find a better system than the cigalikes. I needed a battery that lasted me all day.
The advice i received from the forum lead me to the Vision spinner and Vivi nova and at 1300mah the battery lasted me all day. The initial set up costing me about £40 for 2 spinners and 2 novas. This was great for me until the batteries started their downwards spiral to non-charge and the thought of spending another £40 just wasn't an option. Back to the forum for more advice. This lead me to try the Vamo. What a revelation this was. The initial cost for the body ,although more expensive than a coupe of spinners, was going to be more cost effective long term as the batteries inside could be changed rather than thrown out.I've since bought myself The Tesla for a back-up and the two systems although similar are just the job for me. I really like The Tesla and it can really open up vaping conversations with smokers and non-smokers alike. So i use The Tesla more often than not. Besides which the spring loaded firing pin is the greatest feature. No more digging out the firing pin on the vamo. All P Vs should have this feature as standard.
So now i have my perfect set-up and make my own coils and juice and is something that i enjoy without the associated health risks from smoking.
I'm just in the process of trying the protank and it is in the vapemail as I write this. I've heard good and bad stuff about this tank so the jury is still out.
The best thing about giving up the weed aside from the health benefits is the forum and it's users. I've made some good friends on here and if it wasn't from the time restraints would probably spend all day on the forum. Still. (extended) life goes on.
So that's my story, i hope that you the reader can glean some inspiration from this story and really give vaping the chance it so obviously deserves.
GOOD LUCK with your own story and VAPE ON:vapor:

Man .. you've just written my story and many other vapers can co-relate to your story! I'm so damn glad that I gave up on the cigarettes which I would've never without the help of vaping system. I'm using Rob's throathit with my Kanger T3s. Waiting for merchants to begin selling the new RBA Fogger V2, desperately waiting for it. Also, I'm looking for some telescopic mods and since you recommended, I'm looking into the specifications of Tesla mod. Hopefully, I'll put my foggers on the Tesla :)

Thanks for sharing your experience with vaping, indeed, this forum is the best place on the internet!

The Tesla IMHO is a beautifully designed piece of kit. The makers have really put the effort into the design and when you get one you'll be able to see for yourself. The body is made from a reamed and triangulated piece of aluminum bar and the engineering is what gives The Tesla it's futuristic looks with it's ribbed outer and it's lightweight feel. You can feel the quality of the engineering that has been put into it.
But...........................As with every PV it does have it's issues. I'll list them for you so you can make an informed choice.
1. The buttons are in the wrong place. The fire button is on the back of the PV so you tend to use the index finger when vaping it rather than you thumb and the adjustment buttons are above the screen making it impossible to see your adjustments as you make them. You have to use this mod with 2 hands when adjusting the voltage/wattage
2.will not take voltages over 4.2v so no double stacking
3.The floating firing pin has a tendency to short if the device screwed to it is on to tight. It has circuit protection so it wont destroy your Tesla but it does leave a cavern of a gap which i now fill with a washer
All in all, though these little foibles should be looked at as adding to The Tesla's uniqueness rather than being a right pain in the ..... Still a recommended PV from me

Thanks for adding the pros and cons. I will keep them in mind while finalizing a PV telescopic Mod. Thanks for the PM too, I wouldn't have noticed your reply otherwise.

I'd love to read more reviews from you about different vaping systems you are using. I will soon right a review about the Mod I'm using and will make sure to ping you when I'm done :)
