Observations Week One and a Half

Smok Ego 650mah with a charger and a Kamry CE4 Clearomizer.
18mg Epic Juice Airheadz

A co-worker and I went on a Friday evening after work. We both purchased the same set up for $29 each. Combined with the $14 15ml juice the total came to $46.
I had a difficult time finding any juice I could tolerate the taste of at the store. I wound up with Airheadz by default.
I do believe after leaving the store I had a bit of nicotine overdose from all the taste testing.

Not picking up a cigarette the first weekend was impossible for me. My friend had no difficulties.
My throat hurt, quitter's anxiety ran rampant. Sick to my stomach. And I was having a difficult time with the taste of the juice. I couldn't understand how my friend hadn't picked up even one cigarette whereas I had smoked quite a number of them (which made me nausous...)
Found and Joined this Forum.

By mid-week I drove back to the store. After some discussion and another round of taste testing it was recommended I step down to 12mg and dial down to 3.4v to 3.5v and I took both pieces of advice. I purchased a Caramel Coconut ($8) and a Blueberry ($8), each 10ml. I also added another Kamry Clearo ($5) and an Ismoka BCC Mini Kit ($12). I do not like flavors to mix. Total was $35.31 with tax.

Cost Talley: $81.31
Cigarette Cost would have been $45 in the same time period.
In the Hole: ($36)

However... I have not picked up a single cigarette since last Wednesday.
My throat stopped hurting almost instantly with the mg change. Instead of avoiding the e-cig, I found myself vaping like crazy.
I also found that when using the ismoka BCC, the juice was disappearing, and continues to disappear, very rapidly as compared to the Kamry clearo.

I felt in love with the caramel coconut and it was used almost exclusively. The blueberry was used only if my throat started to hurt as it is a bit milder or "softer".

By mid-weekend I was a bit concerned at what was starting to feel like an intense addiction to constant vaping. Came online and read most of the articles in the Library. Of note... Learned about nicotine absorption via smoke versus absorption via vapor. Watched an online video regarding vaping technique. Since then, I'm not vaping constantly. The pendulum swung the other way and I'm forgetting to vape with enough frequency so that I'm experiencing some anxiety again, something I personally find difficult to deal with, particularly during the workday. I don't want to be cranky and the anxiety is affecting my work a little bit. And so, now I'm testing a dual method of vaping where I'm doing lung inhale as well as nose & mouth technique. If the former's positive effect is placebo, so be it. I don't give a rat's ... so long as the method works.

Thoughts about cigarettes have been sporadic, though a few times intense. The few cigarettes I had left from the first week, exactly 6, I broke up and threw in the trash yesterday so as not to be tempted. For me it was a wise move.

Final thoughts on this week and a half...

Everything is cheaper online. But then, that's not supporting the local shop. I wouldn't have been able to be smoke free this many days without that shop and so I feel a sense of obligation (in the good way.) They had ordered new equipment in. Hopefully there will be an option I'm interested in.

I changed the coilhead in the ismoka to the 2.5 since I was using a lower voltage. I didn't see a difference in how much juice is being used though not sure I was supposed to see a difference. I also didn't notice much change in vapor production. Wish I could recall how long these parts are meant to last. I very much like the mouthpiece of the ismoka but I dislike how it's loaded, the inability to read the ml on the side, and how easy it is to pull it apart by accident thus, causing the juice to spill and force the need to clean the entire unit. (yes, I did that.)

It's very apparent that I need a backup battery. However, it's more apparent that this Smok isn't going to cut it in the end.
As I have no desire to waste money on something that's not going to last long term, I'm looking at larger mah mods, am reading up on them and watching youtube reviews. My head is spinning quite a bit on the choices. It feels somewhat like trying to buy a new phone or computer in that, I'm concerned something with a much better upgrade will appear the moment I make the purchase. If anyone is reading this, any suggestions are welcome but note I'm looking for a very long term piece of equipment and do not have an unlimited budget.

The other outstanding issue is how quickly I'm tiring of the flavors. I already know my local store isn't carrying anything I want and so I can see no other way but to try testers until I find what I want. Not ideal, especially with shipping charges, but I can't think of another option. Again, any advice is welcome. I checked out the reddit sub and saw mention of juice gifting or something of the like. If anyone has an opinion or experience with that please let me know.

That's about it for now.
