Last night at 5pm I hit the one week analog-free mark. Feel pretty damn good about that too. I don't recall if I mentioned it before in this blog, but a few hours into vaping, after realizing that I'm having no cravings for an analog, and that I'm not having to fight to stay off of them - I told my GF that after exactly 1 week of vaping exclusively i wanted to try a drag off her cigarette. Last night, at about 5:30 I did. The feel of it in my hand was familiar, and it felt kinda good I must admit. The taste, however, that was down-right unpleasant. I don't know what the hell I was thinking 18 years ago that made me want to take a second drag - other than how 'cool' it would look.
I don't know what the 'official' length of time is before one can say they quit is. I remember from my psych courses in college that it takes 60 days on average for a behavior to become a habit. Based on that I've set a 90 day mark for myself. Once I go 3 months without a cigarette i will say that the switch was successful. Judging by last night experiment - it shouldn't be a problem
