Overeating and Vaping....

When I turned 50, my life whent in a whirlwind. Part of it is knowing you're better days are "Behind you."

vaping has been the 1 thing that I have held onto the past 2 years. I think about the relation of smoking to eating. It is well known that long time smokers who quit, often replace it with eating and... overeating.

Since vaping truely does take the place of smoking, it should be that you do not gain weight.. but since I turned 40, weight has been a constant issue.

I have been through many phases of vaping as well. When I started vaping, I did it contantly. I would be typing as I am now and have to have an 810 hanging out of my mouth just puffing away. I never smoked as much as I vaped at the beginning of vaping 2 years ago.

I went to the hospital end of this past March 2011 for 2 weeks ending after the 1st week of April 2011. I did not eat anything for 2 weeks and did not vape and had no desire to eat or vape. I lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks. I came back and have gained more than the 20.... and now I am looking at how I vape, but have cut down a bit and replaced the non-vape time with eating.

I know I will be back on stride again, but I also know the worst thing you can do with your body is to change weight constantly. It makes your heart not understand and eventually ... heart attack. Funny thing is that my blood pressure is always perfect as I don't get nearly as upset as I used to.

I am writing this out of honesty and if maybe I put it out there, some other long time Vaper who is going through changes in vaping can understand that it is tied to food just like smoking is.

And that is also why it is important to understand that vaping is not giving up smoking. Vaping is the next step from smoking. If you want, you can reduce your nicotine each day and "Wean" until there is no nicotine in your vape, but my guess would be, you will be a non-vaper who will fill that space with eating... at least I would..

Luckily, I am writing this out and beginning to understand how I have changed from smoke to vape and from chain vape to less vape and eating ... sweets.

Thanks for attending this meeing of Vapeaholics Anonomous.
