Excellent post and thanks to ECF, my "don't under spend" was greatly accelerated, but at least I know that it was probably on stuff I will get some good mileage off of.
Just started vaping 2/20 with a two month supply of Green Smoke, 50 prefilled cartomizers 24mg -- originally thought it would last me up to 6 months based on my current analog rate and how they rate their cartomizers. Two months is based on how I'm using them up.
25 years analog, started with menthol for 13 or so years, switched to reg, peaked at 2 PAD, worked it down to about 7 cigs a day in preparation to quit.
Why a 6 months supply? I bought in bulk because I was able to double stack some % off deals and got it for a deal, and I was determined this was going to work and planned on using it. You know, didn't want to sell myself short by 1/2 committing. Originally had thoughts that I would just use it up till I quit vaping altogether and 6 month supply seemed to be a good starting point. Lol, what experience can only teach you.
Who knew that I was going to really like this stuff -- much better than analog all the way.
While I regret to some degree not finding ECF before I ordered my kit; they did get me off analogs the day they arrived, and I know that they will hold me over the next two months while I get my preferences sorted out. I'm sure I'll have some left over when my upgrade arrives, and then I'll just keep it as a backup.
In all honesty, if I did find ECF prior to ordering my starter kit, I probably would have been too overwhelmed and I'd still be using analogs why trying to sort all this info out. As it is, Google provided the standard review sites to my inquiries and I made a choice after about 10 hrs research over two days.
So here I am now, 6 days into this adventure, and I went from stage 1 to stage 4 in 4 days. Took me that long to wade through enough info here (about 5 hrs a night) to finally get a idea... a tiny clue.
All the while finding myself constantly on the PT that came with my kit.
Already over my monthly budget from analogs, but money well spent. I'm trying my best to resist ordering more stuff, that way I get a chance to try out some of the stuff on its way.
Good news is this was made easy for me by the fact that the tank I want is out of stock atm (BDV), and the backup to my new main pv won't be on sale till next month (Provari V2 Satin Black with blue LED).
Gives me time to shop and taste samples and start to square away my main stock.
I guess if there is anything I can add to a prospecting new convert.
Don't worry so much whether what you start with, is the one. Do some research to make a good choice, but commit and start now.
If you follow the advice in this thread, you'll have time to work out all the details that will make your PV experience your own.
Remember, success is not a destination... but rather a journey. Enjoy the ride.
