I have not had a lot of time to get my thoughts to go in 1 place... but I have 2 things going on with UKVapers that I think should get mentioned here.
1. Mikrosoft has sent me his e-pipe. I told him as I tell you that his is the 1st one I have seen that has a button on the side. This may be hard for pipe smokers to understand, but all of the previous pipes I have seen have the bat in the "Bowl" section of the pipe and you need to press on it to activate the battery. This is a quick way and easy way to do it, but for me, no go. I don't want to make an issue out of making a mod work.
When I saw Dave on Vapourtrails.tv on his "Tackel Box" show having this mod by Mike, I was taken by it immediately. He said that the bat. is "Locked up" inside the bowl, so when the bat goes bad, either send it back to Mike or buy another as they are priced right. I forget how much, but very reasonable for any budget.
He offers top button as well, but the side button had me, the sealed bat was just too great. And Mike was kind, taking pitty on this old "Sod" from "The other side of the Pond."
