Congratulations, you have made the first step towards taking the giant leap into this wonderful community regarding e cigarettes to quit smoking.
My first step was watching Katherine Heigl vaping on the tonight show, your's likely wasn't as odd a story. What is important right now is you don't make the wrong decisions. Decisions that will lead to you stepping away from this healthier alternative because of a bad purchase, bad information or worse, both bad information and a bad purchase.
I cannot tell you how many horror stories i've heard from people who still smoke, that admit that have attempted electronic cigarettes and failed. Things like "I tried that crap, I bought a starter kit for $200.00 and the thing broke on me in a few days." or "I spent $150.00 and the performance was not what the vendor showed me it would be".
One of the biggest reason's for a smoker to try electronic cigarettes and go back to smoking is first impression from the first purchase being a bad one, and that can be for multiple reasons, but the two biggest reasons are as follows.
1. You bought online at a company that doesn't care about your strong desire to quit smoking, all they care about is the $100.00 that you are about to submit to them in the checkout tab.
2. You bought from a local shop that (just like the online company) doesn't care about you, just your money.
I personally can tell you that I was unfortunate to start in the vaping community when there were only a handful of reputable companies out there truly trying to help and the rest of the companies were simply fly by night companies trying to make a buck on a growing industry. So while it still happens here and there that you will come across those "bad apples", it's much more few and far between, so long as you seek out help before you make your initial purchase.
There are a number of tools i'm going to give you that are going to make your transition into vaping easier, but be patient. I want you to quit smoking just as quickly as you do, but it's better to smoke another week while you learn than jump into a device/product that gives you a bad taste in your mouth (metaphorically and literally) which will lead you to believe that there is no alternative to improve your health other than the dreadful way, cold turkey.
I'll be publishing the first installment into this new category "Learning to quit, and start" in the following days, but if you need help NOW on where and what to do and simply cannot wait, you can always contact me directly and I'll help you without hesitation.
One of the best parts about this community is it's 99% warm hearted and welcoming.
Regardless if you are reading this while you still puff on a cigarette, congrats on the first step because knowledge is going to get you away from that cancer stick quicker than you think
