Sourcemore: Why Other People Get Lower Prices Than You Do (and how you can, too)

So someone tells you to go to Sourcemore to buy a certain product because it's really cheap there. They say it's only $30. Yet you go there and you see it's $70! So you report that to the person who told you it was $30 and they tell you that you have to create an account and log in to see the lower prices. So you do that yet you still see the $70 price tag. Now everyone is confused and fed-up and you end up just buying it somewhere else because you think Sourcemore has some kind of scam (or something) going on. I know the feeling, been there.

But here's why this is happening and here's what you have to do to get the lower prices:

Sourcemore has 2 retail account levels: General and Bronze.

When you're a new customer your account is at the "General" account level and you don't see the lower prices on some stuff. Only Bronze account level customers see the lower prices (only on some things, not everything is lower-priced for Bronze level customers). To get your account changed to Bronze level, you have to make one purchase at "General" level. Once it's delivered, they will move your account to "Bronze" level and you get the lower prices. Price cuts are significant. I've seen as much as $12 less for mods and half the price for coils/pods.

You know if you are Bronze or General level by logging in and going to your my account page. You will see a badge which says either "General" or "Bronze" - that's your account level. ;)

Has anyone shopped Sourcemore recently? Just curious of the overall experience - Trustpilot lists them slightly below average at 2.8 Stars with a lot of reviews stating their payment platform isn’t safe - with additional (over $500) appearing on the card used there. There were also quite a few issues with packages not arriving - Sourcemore states lost or detained/confoscated (at Customs) isn’t their problem.
Sidebar: HealthCabin has a similar disclaimer posted, but has a 4.8 Trustpilot rating with glowing reviews - but am unfamiliar with both (normally order directly from Innokin, but they don’t have anything I don’t already have other than the Coolfires and Enduras - and I’m trying to envision something called “Coolfire” producing a warm vape and producing billowing clouds.)

I personally have had no problem with them. I had a defective mod sent to me once and after proving it with video they sent me a replacement without sending the defective one back.

You always take a risk buying overseas, it isn't for everyone. I only buy with credit card so if my card gets ripped off I'm protected.

Customs problem can occur for certain countries. Again, a risk you take.

I don't bother with review/ratings sites. There so much fraud and drama going on in the reviews space that it makes reviews worthless to even read. Chinese companies especially are brutal at damaging their competitors' reputations but even in the USA you can buy good reviews for yourself as well as bad reviews for your competitors.
