Stardust 2.0(V3) started seeping e-liquid onto the top of my battery through the center post the other day.
I've been cleaning, dryburning, replaced the silica wick with cotton(a few times) and been using it for weeks now(same head).
I figured it was at the end of it's life and was still pretty happy as it had served me so well.
But thought why not try and fix it anyways as a few folks around here have posted on this issue and some have given up on the SD's entirely.
It only took 5 to 10 minutes as I watched the TV.
Took it apart and dried it off. Took a small screwdriver and gently pushed/wiggled up on the center post from the
bottom as I looked down from the top to raise and straighten/align the post within the post housing.
Then I inspected the head closer under magnification and noticed some small gaps between the wick the rubber cap and the slots in the steel head. So I re-attached the head to the center post (not too tightly but snug),
removed the cap and very gently pulled up on one side of the wick at a time,
while holding the other end of the wick between my fingers against the center post. to raise the coil up a tad.
Then fluffled the wick on either side where it enters the head. Replaced the rubber cap, ensuring it was properly seated.
Re-assembled/ refilled.
It's been a week now and still no leaking whatsoever!
I think part of the problem was from tightening the head down too tight too often, pushing the inner post lower.
In combination with then needing to screw the tip on even tighter to prevent leakage, thus pushing the coil down
a little.
This baby ain't done yet!!
It's my hope that this may help someone who may have previously
given up on these great clearos.
