A smoker always thinks about quitting smoking. The thoughts of lung cancer, COPD, and living a life that isnt the best of quality always lingers in the back of your mind. Dying much too soon by your own hands, but the addiction is much stronger then the willpower you possess.
Being an only child, I was daddy's little girl. He had smoked for most of his life, dying at the young age of 54. Seeing all of his struggles from COPD , was still not enough motivation for me to quit. It enticed him to quit, but was too late.
At 4am one morning, severe pain in my chest woke me up. Thinking I had dislocated another rib, I took it easy with the heating pad. When it wasnt easing up, I headed to the hospital. Within the next few hours, I was admitted with a chest tube in. My lung had collapsed. Although the doctors told me smoking did not cause this, it did put me at greater risk. All I could think about during my 4 day stay was my dad was here just 6 months ago, and did not get to come home. I wanted to make it home.
My husband brought me an electronic cigarette to help me while I was in the hospital. I was really impressed on how well it was helping me. I started researching ecig to learn about their safety and was amazed at what I was learning. I decided right then, since I had a lil jump start on quitting, I wasnt going to pick cigarettes back up.
Once I got home, I started doing more research. I was so intrigued that there was a whole world out there called vaping!! So many devices and flavors!! I was really overwhelmed. I just had to try these flavors, but what device to buy? After reading many reviews to help make my decision, google introduced me to ECF. I was so excited to speak with and get advice from tenured vapers.
My enthusiasm for my new found obsession intrigued my husband. Everything I had told him made him excited to receive my first kit. I am so glad the kit came with 2 devices, now he is a non smoker!! He is just as enthusiastic as me, telling everyone at work about them.
As I can see the potential threat the FDA posses on this industry, I have become an advocate for ecigs. I have joined organizations, and spread the awareness about the positive effects for smokers. This saves lives, and makes quitting practically effortless.
I just wish I could of made this discovery before it was too late for my dad, but I can still impact many others!!!
