Tom "Wooderman" Buss.. Great Vendor and Great Guy

I have suffered for a long time with being "Electronically Challenged." My Dad did all work with electronics in my life until he died in 2000. Since that time, I have done my best to cope with Electrical things, so it became funny to me that the "Electronic Cigarette" has been my best most real hobby for the past 2 years, today being my "Anniversary."

I got my "Monkey Boxx" about a month ago. When it came, I thought that the VV was broken as it would not go higher than 5.5 volts. I sent my box back to him. He looked at it and said ... "Nothing wrong."

I think I discussed that one here already and this will not be a repeat.

I got the "Kong" box today and mine is truely a "King Kong" box as he of his own choice put the King of Beasts, King Kong at the top of the Empire State Building in New York and he is swatting a Plane and beating his chest with the words "King Kong, 8th Wonder of the World."

Tom told me that in order to work the "Kong" you needed 2 - 26500 bats. These are new bats from "AW." No one has them now. I ordered 4 of them from Dave at SuperTmanufacturing weeks ago and he is still waiting for them. The Company just stopped making them for months. Because of my 1st conversation with Tom where he helped me "Fix" my fear of electronics and understand that the number of volts is not as important as the "Total Picture" of ohms and resistance on the atty which makes together the "Favorite" voltage to work for each and every vaper. This may seem like a small thing to you, but to me, it was big.

I started rooting around the many bats I have accumulated in the past 2 years. When the SB first came out, it had a "Short" bottom and I bought a bunch of "Trustfire 18500" bats that fit that. When the "Long" bottom became available, I went to the 18650 big bats or.. 2 - CR123a's to make 6 volt vaping.

But I have not used the 18500 bats in years so they are practially new. I thought, if I put 2 of those into the "Kong" I bet they may work. I did.. and they did!

This is all a part of not being afraid to work with electronics. I have been lacking of this type of "Power" in my life... until now.

Next... I notice that the bottom feeder juice bottle is not feeding anything to the atty. I wrote to him: "I am not going to send this back to you and I am going to handle it, but ... ... is not working with the juice and I want to know if it is ok to put something through it to open it up and let the juice through."

He wrote back..."Do you have a paper clip long enough that you can shove through." His term made it clear that in putting something through, I would not mess with the electronics of the unit which is what I have been afraid of in my life... touching something that breaks an electronic device. I took a paper clip and made it straight. I put it in the top hole where the atty screws on in the "Catch Cup." It stopped when it hit the metal tube that allows the juice through. I did not want to push any harder.. you know... break it. I then got out a safety pin and that was too short.

I then took the rubber tubing which held the juice bottle off and there was now just the metal tube extending out at the bottom. I blew into the top "Catch Cup" and no air would go through. I looked at the bottom of the metal tube and saw that it was very small. Usually I would stop until I got another smaller straight item... but not this time... I wanted to "Win." I took the paper clip and put it into the bottom of the metal tube. It just fit. I pushed it upward and "Walah" it came through the top of the "Catch Cup." I now blew into it and... air came through. I put the juice bottle back in place and... it works... perfectly!

For many, Modders and Vapers alike, this may not seem like any "Great Thing," but.. for me, it is an apex of how I am now overcomming my fear of electronics. And with the help of not only a Great and Wonderful Modder and Great Guy and Teacher, but a true "Artisan" the caliber of woodwork and engraving that stands up as "Jewelry Box" beauty, I will overcome my fear of electronics.

Sometimes, just knowing that you have someone who cares is enough to overcome what you don't think you can. I am 50 years old and have been through the "Mill" in my life... but I still have items left undone and this was one.... So on my "Bucket List" I am getting ready to check off "Fear of Electronics."

I advise anyone who loves the work of Rob Oneil who just got my door back to me with a hole, absolutely perfect, to have some of the work of Tom Buss. Both men are Great and are here at this Forum and both have been very helpful to me. They are really in the same business only Tom is where Rob was a couple of years ago... but look at the "Reo" now. This is where Tom will be as well. These are men who not only stand behind their work, but do custom woodwork with vaping items that cannot be matched.

Mr. Oneil, thanks for my door. Mr. Buss, thanks for everything.
