Some updates as it's now almost May!
Both of us (fiance and me) have stayed quit and today is 12 weeks to the day! Colin went cold turkey, and doesn't mind that I'm still vaping because the only flavors I vape that he can smell are Black Licorice and one of my new loves, Absinthe. I love the more complex flavors in the absinthe so I may give up plain ole licorice! I finally got my big 'ole bottle of Malty Toffee from Backwoods Brew - went with the 60ml because of the ordering limits. I also got a bottle of Malty (same size) which I love as much as MT and it also has order limits, plus a 30ml bottle of waffle - which tastes like buttery syrup...I think with steeping and decanting it will change quite a bit! I'm also currently in love with Gooey Butter Cake and Pear from Altcig.com - both very nice!
I loved the Leo I was given so much, that I got 2 Leas. One is the Lea Kross - the newest in the line which has adapters that allow you to connect pretty much anything to it - very cool - and got some nice LR DC's to go with it. I also grabbed a Lea800 tank - love the fresh taste and so easy to use for me. I haven't tried a DCT yet, but now that there's the new tank with the bottom coil and no DC carto in the middle - I may try one... I also love that the Leas are 510 threaded, but there's an adapter to make it work with the proprietary threading of the Leo so I can keep using the amazing 4ml cartos. The Leo LR cartos are great too. I tried one clearo - and the glue came loose and it leaked badly, but I'm going to super glue it (as I was told to do) and apparently that will hold it. I actually have my ex-hub to thank for being able to purchase all the supplies I got so I'd stick with it and not go back to cigs - that was st
I'm also excited because after nearly 6.5 years - I'm finally getting my judicial review/hearing for my SSDI (disability) in mid June! I have to have my parents drive me up to Columbus, which is about an hour from where I am in OH, and will teleconference with a Judge in St. Louis! After that I'll have a decision within 30 days. If I get denied again, we go to appellate court and who knows how long that wait will be - we've been waiting for this hearing for 14 months already since I requested it! Colin's also got issues. He has a shunt and it's starting to fail (he's had 20+ surgeries already). We're going up to the Cleveland Clinic in about a week - and they may tell him that he needs immediate surgery so we're trying to prepare for it. The good thing is that it's usually only a 2 day hospital visit! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Specialist will just be able to clear it out instead of operating - but we'll see. He's one of the best hydro Dr's in the nation and we have a friend who was his patient for years and she raves about him
On the kitty front, we've had a scardy cat living in our garage for about 2 months, and 2 days ago when we were feeding her, we noticed a kitten next to her! So in addition to being afraid of humans, she's had *1* kitten. I haven't seen it close up, but Colin says it looks just like the kitten we rescued last year right about now! Because she only had 1 kitten, and the similar look of the kittens, we think she may have been Foster's mama too. Now we have to try and trap them and get them adopted out - but this time of year, in a small town, all the rescues are full up. We just know we can't keep them - the inn is full!
That's it for now!
