The first piece of my two-piece order left New York today! That means it made it in. 
Hopefully, the second piece also gets here without a hitch (I have no idea which is which, like I said, so it'll probably be another week before I'll know for sure what the deal is).
I know one thing for sure -- smokes are over $7 a pack right now, and I am NOT a rich man.
On an aside, I did look into getting a can of Snus today...they're about the same price as a pack of cigarettes here in Washington, and they're kept cold behind the counter (which I thought was a little strange). I was honestly more interested in the little tobacco mints, or the strips...Snus (to me) seems too much like chewing, and I remember throwing up a fair amount of Copenhagen when I was a little kid. The fun factor on that was minimal, to say the least.
I've generated quite a bit interest at my work from smokers and non-smokers alike about the e-cigarette. I even came in to work one day last week and found a giant mylar helium balloon hanging on my chair; it says something like "Hang in there; you can do it!" and it has a frog on it doing who knows what. I never bothered to take it down, so it's still hanging there. I think they're more excited about it than I am, and I'm sure they'll have a lot of questions. Fortunately, I've researched the e-cig pretty extensively on here, so I'll be ready to give the community a tiny bit more good PR. I know the smokers I've mentioned it to INSIST on taking a look at it...and of course, I'm happy to oblige.
More on this when I hear something. I think that I'm going to do a video review of the e-cigs when I get them. As far as I can tell, the standard seems to be posting a video on YouTube and then bringing the embed code here. The most fun part will be that it's going to be my first online video ever, not to mention that you'll get to see what I look like...the knowledge of which, if coupled with $3 from your wallet, may serve useful in your crusade for a cup of coffee. And, of course, we'll get to see what under $40 gets you from China. If I like e-smoking, these units I'm getting aren't going to cut it, though; the general consensus on the forum is the DSE901 is probably my best bet (at least to start) if I plan on being even remotely serious. After that, all the model numbers started to blur together (and, as such, I'll probably be posting for help when we get to that point).
