If you missed it, Part II can be found HERE
On Thanksgiving, I got some very bad health news about a family member, and this blog went out the window. So, to finish up:
Honey Perry -
It took some steeping, but I see what all the rage is about. To me this comes off as green jolly ranchers. A delicious mix of sweet and sour.
Something about the pear gives a sweet tartness, but its not saccharine sweet - TVC doesn't use artificial flavors, so the taste is much more genuine.
SCORE: a solid 8. Even if you don't particularly enjoy pear (i don't) this is succulent.
Hobbes' Blood - "Watermelon, strawberry and a very light hint of coconut. Think of the "Tigers Blood" snow cone or shave ice flavor. Just like that!"
HB tastes exactly as described. All flavors are present, and for what it is, it does very well. I'm simply not a fan of coconut, and it is definitely there in the finish, and closes off the flavor medley. It just comes down to if you like watermelon, strawberry, and coconut. The taste is of watermelon and strawbery up-front, and coconut is not really hinted at, per the description. Rather, coconut completely closes out the taste. So, if you like those three, you will LOVE this one.
SCORE: 8 - Tastes exactly as described.
Deep Thought - A solid vape, it's description reads, '
Sassafras pipe tobacco. This is a very deep flavor. Vanilla, sassafras, deep rich pipe tobacco, a little spice. Great for an evening vape.'
I actually really like this one. Its' description reads, " Sassafras pipe tobacco. This is a very deep flavor. Vanilla, sassafras, deep rich pipe tobacco, a little spice. Great for an evening vape." The last sentence is spot-on--its a perfect vape for the end of the day. It also earns the cliché 'it's greater than the sum of its parts,' meaning that the sassafras tobacco, vanilla, and spice all taken together far exceed any one of two of them alone.
SCORE: A solid 8.5. Deep Thought is pretty badass.
Frosted Pear & Cranberry - the frosted ones take a while to steep, but they deliver. Easy to review. It tastes like natural pear with a crisp finish and Cranberry with a crisp finish. They are exactly as described, no magic here.
SCORE: 8 - tastes exactly as described.
Beeblebrox - Along with Deep Thought and Slartibartfast, Beeblebrox closes out the trio of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'-themed flavors. It's also my least favorite of the three. Nothing really strikes me about it. Thus it receives a
SCORE: 5
Well, that's it folks. From 10 flavors by TVC, the stand-outs of the group for me are Black Pompom, Frosty Peach and Unicorn Poop. I say subjective because I enjoyed frosty peach the most out of the single flavor offerings, the Black Pompom because it tasted just like purple Big League Chew--yum--and Unicorn Poop because I really enjoyed the flavor combination. As far as recommendations, I can't say I'll be re-ordering anything from TVC. In the interim, I've discovered Nicoticket--specifically Frenilla and H1N1. We truly are in a golden age of vaping because TVC raised the bar to a certain level, and Clark & his wife @Nicoticket completely blew through the roof that TVC established. Sorry if this seems like a bait-and-switch, but I'm being completely honest.
ok, a quick side-story. I was reordering Frenilla, because its only available for a limited time, and I messaged Nicoticket telling them how awesome Frenilla is, and asking what their current favorite is. Well, they sent me a free 15ml of H1N1. Yep, the same H1N1 that won top prize on this places' (ECF) bes of 2013. And I agree. H1N1 is the Pineapple Express of vaping. I don't partake in mary jane personally, but loved the movie, so this is the only way I can convey this thing. If you have any interest at all in tobacco-flavored vapes, stop reading this right now, and go to their page and order some, by clicking here. You'll thank me later.
Thanks for reading my reviews, guys!
