For those of you who clicked directly to this page, I'm disappointed and feel unappreciated, but I won't hold it against you. Not for too long anyway. So here is a recap:
The Bobo is a limited edition mod by sigelei. Basically, it’s a Zmax with an unusual body. According to the sigelei website it’s vase-shaped. I think it looks like a bowling pin.
Specs:
Voltage Range - 3.0-6.0v in .1v increments
Wattage Range - 3.0 - 15.0w in .5w increments
5A Output Limit
OLED display 8 functions controls with one button:
Output Voltage, Output Power, Resistance, Battery Voltage, Power On/Off, LCD On/Off, RMS & Mean Voltage
Short Circuit Protection
Low Resistance Protection below 1.2ohms
Low Voltage Protection below 3.4V (or 6.4V for stacked batts)
Battery - single 18650 or dual 18350
Threading - 510/eGo
It is named for a term coined in 2000 by American author David Brooks in his bestselling book of "comic sociology," Bobos In Paradise: The New Upper Class and How They Got There. "Bobo" is a portmanteau of bourgeois and bohemian he used as a humorous description of an emerging upper class who entwined the world of capitalist enterprise with the hippie values of counterculture. A satirical commentary on the irony of popular culture completely misunderstood by the majority of China.
The Bobo also looks really weird, which is why I wanted it.
Without further ado (I mean it this time) I give you the Bobo:
Oh wait, I have to interject here. For those of you who read chapter 2, you may recall that after I placed a pre-order for the Bobo I noticed there was a butterfly in the pattern. I sent an email off to Exhale Vapors asking if I could please have a butterfly if possible. Zac promptly sent a message back that he would put a note on my order slip, although they weren't sure what the pattern would be.
Sadly, it was not to be. But I was really touched by a hand-written note from Rico, who obviously put forth his best effort to explain in English that the flower pattern had been retired. At least I think "retired" was the word he was aiming for, but the sad face tells the whole story. When I finish this blog I am definitely going to contact Abe about the outstanding customer service of Rico and Zac.
Sorry, back to not further adoing:
At this point I growled "cr@p Chinese junk," since it felt like there was adhesive gunk on the screen. Oops! Sorry Sigelei, it was protective tape.
Rats! I have exceeded the number of allowed images, so this will have to be continued again.
