This is exactly the kind of report we need from all suppliers. It's scientific, not stretches of the imagination, and adds valuable information for all of us. For those who stampeded a panic about vegetable glycerine over in the Health section of the forum, these quotes should be informative:
"Researching the chemical profile for propylene glycol indicates that although there would appear to be no current recognized health hazards, the chemical is suspected to be a respiratory toxicant. If Propylene Glycol subsequently becomes recognized as a respiratory toxicant following the launch of the product in Europe, then Pillbox 38 should be looking for an even safer alternative such as Glycerol."
In 'recommendations', there's this:
"7. Recommendations
a) Pillbox 38 should take a Proactive look at replacing the Propylene Glycol component completely with an alternative such as Glycerol, in the event that the solvent becomes added to the list of respiratory toxicants in the foreseeable future."
And you've got to love these footnotes that address the question of "trust":
"3. Reference to 100 fatal poisonings in Panama resulting from a Chinese factory falsifying records in order to export the cheaper but toxic Diethylene Glycol as the more expensive Glycerol.
"4. Reference to 6000 poisonings in China where powdered milk has been purposely contaminated with the toxic chemical melamine. Melamine is used in industry to make such things as plastics. This chemical makes the milk powder appear to contain more protein than is actually the case."
I have a new motto for Kit's Currency: In Pillbox We Trust.
After smoking 20-30 roll ups a day for nearly 35 years I quit smoking about 8 or 9 month ago but a couple of months after stopping I started getting breathless episodes usually triggered by exercise (not necessarily heavy) and even when I wasn't exerting myself others commented that my breathing sounded heavy. Before Christmas I caught a viral chest infection from hell that left me breathless just going to the toilet and gave me a cough that racked my whole body. The cough has stayed with me till now although it has eased. Anyway, I was feeling so miserable during that period that I started buying the odd 10 pack of the lightest cigarettes on the market (I know - lunacy) which didn't help matters. About a month ago I quit again and my chest and breathing seemed a bit clearer but 17 days ago I bought an evo and I have to say there's been some days (today included) I've felt as wheezy/coughy as when I was smoking tobacco. Reading that post of Bob's on the contents of the contents of e-liquid thread has got me a bit worried. Has anyone else with COPD or anyone you know with it who vapes found it affects their breathing. I'm hoping it's nothing to do with the vaping as I wouldn't like to have to stop.
