  • I always used 500 mesh cut 40mm x 70mm wide and rolled solid. Mesh is pre-oxidixed with a torch. The wick needs to be relatively loose in the wick hole. Using the Petar K method - made coil with 4/5 wraps of 30g Kanthal or 0.5 x 0.1 Ribbon wire which usually gets me to 1.3 - 1.7 ohms range (I find that my sweet spot).
Lately - I have been using SS rope 3/32 7X7 strands. It has been wicking fantastic. Follow the thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/375999-wire-rope-wick.html.
I have the SS rope cut to 40mm long torched white hot 3 times. Wrap pre-oxidized mesh (half inch long and wide) on the top of the SS rope and then wrapped a 4/5 coil of 30g wire (by hand). This is by far my best vape from the cobra.
    Give it a try!!
