When i had the older version of kanger subtank mini i used to use 20w on 0.5. If you feel like its giving you dryhits, you can take a needle and make a tiny hole on the cotton so that more liquid can get through.
It's all about personal preference. What's enjoyable for someone else, might not be for you, and vice versa. Start low, and work your way up until you hit your "sweet spot."
when I'm using the .5 ohm OCC coil on the subtank, I generally run my mod at 19 - 25w depending on how much PG is in my juice (higher % pg means faster wicking)
start around 10W, try it, bump it up to around 12, try it, .... etc until you find a nice vape try not to go over 30, stay vigil for the dryish taste when tuning the mod.... if you hit the dry taste ( a bit burnt) back down about 2W...
