Some of the earlier Endura Endura T18's have an auto-fire issue where, sometimes, when the button is being pressed it will "stick" and fire for longer than intended. Most users say it doesn't auto-fire for longer than 2-3 seconds, but that is long enough to fry your coils.

According to innokin, in regards to the specific "batch" in question:

This defect only affects a maximum of 600 from the first batch. We have identified which distributors and warehouses received them. We have notified the distributors and replaced any that were received from the first batch and are returning them to China for inspection.

This only affected the Black, Silver and Blue editions and only a limited quantity.

Innokin has addressed the issue here, and is accepting returns for replacement (though the process is less than straight forward).

It has come to our attention that there is an issue with the button on a limited number of the first batch of our Endura T18 devices.

If you have purchased an Endura T18, please check the power button by pressing it down and then sliding forward and backward. Press the button for 2 to 3 seconds, It should not remain pressed after you remove your finger from the button. If you listen and hear the sound of the coil heating the eliquid then your Endura T18 is malfunctioning.

If the heating continues, simply unscrew the T18 Tank from the battery, discontinue use of the device, and return it to the Endura packaging.

The Endura T18 is a 14Watt device which delivers a much lower level of heat than high wattage subohm devices and mechanical mods. The Endura T18 also has integrated safety functions including a timed shutoff which shuts down the device before it is damaged.

You must add eliquid to the tank before activating the Endura. Activating the device with a dry tank will burn the coil and it will need to be replaced. We have done tests with the devices with full tanks as well as empty tanks. The 15 second cut-off ensures that the device will stop activation and then cool down.

If the power button on your Endura T18 sticks and continues to fire after releasing your finger from the button, please discontinue use of the device. We will replace it as quickly as we can.

If you would like to return your Endura T18, please contact our email support@innokin.com for details on how to begin the process to replace your device with a brand new Endura T18.

If there are no issues to be found with the device you send us, you will be charged for return shipping of the device back to you.

This issue only affects a limited number of the first batch of devices, and was corrected as soon as it was discovered. We greatly value all of our customers as well as the vaping community, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Our goal at Innokin is to provide you with the best vaping experience possible and we appreciate your understanding and support in this matter. Thank you very much. Do you have any questions?

I sent them an e-mail regarding the issue and these are the instructions I received:
