Mouth piece getting too hot

Hi guys I am new to the vaping scene and need help.

I bought a
eGo ONE MEGA V2 Kit
a couple of days back. I tried using it and the mouth piece became really hot with the very first inhale (which was merely a second or two long). And it did not remove thick clouds.

Is it normal?

I have been off cigarettes for almost 2 years so don't really feel the urge to vape often but I just like to remove thick clouds. I have used the vape once and did 2-3 hits but with a 5 minute interval in between each hit and the same story.

Please help.

That tank uses a metal mouthpiece (also called a drip tip). Metal drip tips can get hot being so closely connected to the heating coils in the tank, which also get pretty hot to be able to vaporize your e-liquid.

Not sure if that drip tip can be removed and replaced with a delrin drip tip. Delrin is a plastic compound and does not transmit heat.

I'd recommend something like a Cherry Vapes cloudchaser drip tip.

If the eGo One Mega is anything like my eGo One was, it should come with a plastic mouthpiece in the original packaging. I never had issues with mine overheating when I was using it with a 1.0 ohm coil, but the one time I used a 0.5 with it the metal mouthpiece got uncomfortably hot pretty quickly, and I had to switch to the plastic.

Could try: FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics
Might want to google properties of wood with regards to germs when compared to metal and plastics.
The longer the drip tip the cooler the vape and less likely to experience spit back.
