Yep ! That's mad but nobody wants this old tools with bronze bearing, flat bed, etc..... If there is a little work they normally go to destruction...
The Schaublin is a capstan lathe so the price is more reduced :)

The little black lathe is able to work with an extraordinary precision and the Schaublin is better :vapor:

Usually they go directly to Africa where people need to work or where working is allowed ...

It's a great thing that people now prefer Chinese light lathe with cheap ball bearing , but don't worry, the clock maker still use old fashioned tool.

When the lathe arrived :

( bronze bearing was a bit tired, one was broken...... )

After few work....( old picture : I was still a smoker  )

After few years of working with the lathe, it become like in its new age

maybe better with the new collet chuck .....

New button ( 9 different operations just for this little part .... )

How does the switch work? Looks like a simple design, maybe just a cam or lever type system, using something to shove the battery up into contact with the top cap.....

Very nice work.

That's really more simple, not very easy to use at the beginning because you need a screwdriver. I drawn this switch just for efficiency.
All the adjustments are made from the outside ( so their is worse ) but I know that some users meet some difficulty ..... Some users
also confuse battery and top cap .....

That's a mech mod, there is only what you need to fire :D

You can find all the detail on my facebook page
