5-volt Mods for Cartomizers

OK, I tore apart the passthru. The USB wires go to a very small circuit board which has a surface-mounted tactile switch on it.

On the USB side of the switch, there is what appears to be a tiny IC. On the other side there is a tiny, tiny resistor.

They are WAY too small to be doing any kind of voltage or current limiting.

I'll charge up my camera & post a pic, if anyone is interested.

5v kills cartomizers dead , burns the buh-jesus out of them. Cartomizers are MADE for 3.7v.. put one on a protege' and it's epic win

Yeah I love it on my prote'ge' I also love it on my Janty Stick,,,but PROTO all the way..hehe

I never really thought the need to use 5v on a cartomizer but I do use the King...portable battery pack on my Janty STICK

Here is the picture of the passthru guts.

The white wire goes to the battery connector center post. Of course, the black goes to the threads.

Sorry for the picture quality, but it is really hard to hold the camera still while photographing something so small. :(

BTW, I could not determine why this passthru failed. There were no broken wires.
