As the title states http://www.theverge.com/2014/3/24/5543322/e-liquid-poisoning-calls-soaring-at-control-centers. Too many people are putting their two cents in with only a fraction of them having a working knowledge of nicotine contents and how to truly measure them...

Article says there are over 1300 recorded calls regarding poisoning from e-liquids... mostly pertaining to children? Why are children getting access to e-liquids anyway?
By the same stupid people who leave other dangerous things around for their kids or dogs to get into. Read Dr. Amy Fairchilds article in the Huffington Post dated 4-4-14 "Liquid Death From E-Cigarettes? You've Got a Long Way to Go, Baby". (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/science) An eye opener.

Just for a little perspective:

From Fluoride Action Network | Toothpastes

Although it is believed that many poisoning incidents from fluoride toothpaste go undiagnosed and unreported (Shulman 1997), the number of calls to Poison Control Centers in the U.S. for fluoride poisonings from toothpaste has skyrocketed since the FDA issued its poison warning. Indeed, in the early 1990s (prior to the FDA’s warning), there were about 1,000 poisoning reports each year from fluoride toothpaste. (Shulman 1997). Today, there are over 23,000 reports a year, resulting in hundreds of emergency room treatments.
