Purely a matter of run time. Though it's not a direct straight-line difference (as in 3000 won't necessarily run twice as long as 1500 in real life) because of the WAY they run down - some will run at 3.9-4.0 volts for longer, for instance...

I'm curious to see how this thread evolves and what I learn. I've been using AW's, 1200 mah and didn't know that I was lacking. What are the benefits to the higher mahs. Not likely that I'll switch from button tops but am always in the mood to learn.

I'm gonna wait for the discharge graphs when someone tests them. I was disappointed in the 2200 mAH ones (they don't stay above 3.5 volts as long as the 1600's), so I went back to the 1600 mAHs. Just as an aside, the button-top/no-button-top isn't an issue in the woodvils :)

    More ooomph?
I only ever need like 10 amps really - so a 20 amp battery is just fine.

But I WOULD love to know "which one runs longer above 3.8 volts when I'm vaping at 0.5 ohms" - and that's hard to say.
    I seem to get more runtime from a 2500 Mah (Samsung25R) than a 2600 (Sony VTV5).

In my testing, the 25R did last a bit longer than the VTC5 down to 3.8V with 0.4 ohm (or higher) coils.

Just checked. My 18650's are 2200. They easily get me thru 6 mls. but I run around 1.2ish. (I'm sure you were all on pins and needles until I could report that...hahaha).

When do you change your batteries, I'm using AW 1600's and I get about 3 ml/3.8ish before I change.

    Edit: I'm running a 1.5 ohm coil.

I like to change batteries and refill at the same time. So, I put about 4 to 4.2 ml of juice in when I refill. When the bottle is empty, my battery is usually between 3.65 and 3.7v. My usual coil builds are dual coil, around .4 ohms. I'm using VTC5s in my Woodvils. In the metal Reos, I use AW1600s or 2200s.

With metal grands, I run AW 1600 and 2200 button tops. Typical build is .4-.5ohms and I get about half a bottle vaped on a fresh charge, with not much difference between the two types. I typically change out at around 3.7V.

In the woodies, I run Samsung 25R's and they do last longer.

I'm thinking I'd run these new AW flats in a woody in a heart beat - just not sure of the charge down curve (i.e., I don't know, not that I'm skeptical). If these are genuine AW's, and you'd have to assume they are from this vendor, they'll be of high quality.

I personally don't run flat tops in my metal grands as I don't like the button throw as much and I have had more propensity for arcing damage (user error, most likely, but hey, I have options so I take them).

Not a flat button guy. Still prefer the AW 1600mah w/24 amps over the 2200mah w/20amps.

Wish AW would make their 3000mah in Button Top form, and make it at least 24 amps. I'd be the first to order it. Those extra 4 amps is noticeable when the battery drops under 3.9v. I usually run batteries down to 3.70v before charging.

I agree, a 3000 mah button top 24 amp would be fabulous, I think their would be a race to be first...
