did she happen to say which film festival? I did see where it won Melbourne's highest honor, and Aaron got best director. But for the IDA (I believe international documentary Association) their awards don't come out til Nov or Dec.

They haven't released the 2016 winners yet.

According to Wikipedia, the following are the awards so far.

• Best Director, Melbourne Documentary Film Festival 2016[8]
• Supreme Jury Prize, Melbourne Documentary Film Festival 2016
• silver REMI at WorldFest Houston 2016 [9]
• nominee for "Best International Feature" - Finalist, DocEdge filmfestival 2016

Did not see A Billion lives listed. Would have been very disappointed if it had shown in Atlanta and I had missed it. Signed up to receive a notice if / when it does.

It sounds like it is this:

which is great but that isn't going to gain them much MSM attention like if it were Cannes, Sundance, etc.

I don't do FB, but maybe someone with FB can ask them which one it was, cuz I didn't see it listed on the Jozi one as having won either. It was on there as being entered, but didn't seem like they had decided yet.

As I stated up there ^^^, I saw on their FB that they won for the Jozi. Here is a screenshot:

Clearly, the festival website has not updated yet, since they have the trophy in their hands, and are not leaving Africa.
