A Billion Lives just won Best International Documentary 2016. Wahoo!
did she happen to say which film festival? I did see where it won Melbourne's highest honor, and Aaron got best director. But for the IDA (I believe international documentary Association) their awards don't come out til Nov or Dec.From one of the stocking threads! Woo hoo!

Saw on their FB that it was the Jozi Film Festival in South Africa.
It will help them get into the bigger festivals.I was just assuming due to the dates for the festival and when the original post they won was posted.
It sounds like it is this:
which is great but that isn't going to gain them much MSM attention like if it were Cannes, Sundance, etc.
As I stated up there ^^^, I saw on their FB that they won for the Jozi. Here is a screenshot:I don't do FB, but maybe someone with FB can ask them which one it was, cuz I didn't see it listed on the Jozi one as having won either. It was on there as being entered, but didn't seem like they had decided yet.
