Ok so I'm gonna try a "downward facing" coil again, because that definitely seems right.

I find if I out my standard gap of around 1.5 mm off the airflow, I get fantastic flavor

Thanks for that! I think mine is lower, so I'll go up.

What I'm really after is vapor density.
Not "clouds bro", but just thicker vapor.
My flavor is there (of course the flavor I'm vaping is strong so that could be compensating), but the vapor is weak.

I've already decided my 2.8mm diameter coil was too big, so I've moved to a 2.4mm coil, and things have been much better.

Maybe I'll make a smaller coil, downward facing, and a touch higher off the airflow.

This is fun! I love playing with these toys!
For the life of me, I don't understand why people get mad. If it doesn't work, keep playing with the build until it does work!

So if I raise the coil, I'll get more airflow, but less vapor?
The top of my coil is flush with the top of the cup.

Not less vapor, just more airflow. More air will mix with the vapor being produced in the chamber, so more vapor as a result

28g Kanthal, 5/6 wrap, 2.4mm coil, 1.2 ohm, downward facing coil, 1.5 turns of juice control...V1 base fully open.

Seems to be working well!

How high did you end up setting the coil? And are you running it direct or indirect?

Using a downward facing coil:

versus upward facing coil:

I ended up with the downward facing coil, flush with the top of the cup. In other words, I could lay the cup flat on a table, upside down, and all would be flush.

With my upward facing coil, it was too hard to get the coil down into the cup far enough.

I'm running direct with 2 turns open.
Seems to be working great!
Field test at work today, where sadly, it will spend most of the day in my backpack, with juice closed.

Im interested in a calix, however I am wondering what exactly is plexiglass for the tank material?

If i purchase a calix v2, am I going to have to worry about the tank getting cracked? Or can the tank handle everything?

Plexiglass can't handle tank cracking liquids. That's why we have the Caged version with Quartz glass and the Armor version with SS which will be ready soon

Love the Calix v2 with the P3 base when paired with the Radius. Running a single 26 gauge coil, 0.9 ohms at 22 watts! Awesome vape!

Yeah I don't understand.
A few of the Provape threads are still chattering, but not by much.
I used to have PAGES to catch up on from the time I clocked in at work, to when I took my lunch break.
Now, I only have a handful of posts to read by the time I get home from work!

I don't think we will make v1s again. We are trying for a mini Cage but we have trouble with the design.
