Quick thread hijack: Dinger, I have that keoke coffee too..LA right? My mom decided to buy a few flavorings a few months back to see if she could spruce up her juices. That one was sitting there so I gave it a try with cap VC..straight up horrible. I only used about 3% and I'm STILL trying to dilute it down.

Okay, carry on..sorry :D
Happy to have you hijack! Yes, it's the LA version. The keoke coffee I've drank had brandy, creme de cacao and something else all topped with fresh sweetened whipped cream. That's what I was hoping for. Oops. May need to use it only as an accent in other juices. It's only a dram bottle so if it "disappears" I won't be upset[emoji6]

Sent from.... ooh look! Something shiny!!!

I actually think I'm the only one who likes the Horchata From TFA,Never hear anyone really talk about it,But man Is it good,Unlike any other flavor I have.
I bought plenty of TFA flavors that I tried once and never used again.I order the one's I've never tried straight from TFA because they are small bottles like samples and I feel as I am not wasting it if I don't like em.

Never tried Castle Long.

Which horchata do you use from tfa,the smooth or the other one?I have heard one is a straight flavor and the other is a base,i'm not sure which is what, but i have been thinking about trying the tfa,not to crazy about the one from capella,it's ok,but wont be ordered again.

It is the regular one and it does says base on the bottle,Wow didn't know they came out w another one (smooth),But I would probably prefer the one I have because it is probably spicier and this stuff is strong,The smooth is probably similar to Capella. Here is a recipe I use,and as J.J says its Dynomite.:)

3% Horchata Tfa
3% Vanilla Custard Cap
3% Coconut Candy Tfa

CAP apple pie is the only one that I've re-ordered. I don't do desserts much but the apple pie is a good one. It's fine standalone and in a mix (10-12% is a good starting point). I worked on a recipe for a while and I've found a good mix with this:

9% CAP apple pie
3% TFA graham cracker
2% Hangsen Vanilla
2% TFA whipped cream
1% EM

Most likely this is your biggest issue
In time you will develop a knack for mixing........or give up. At some point percentages for given flavors and Manufacturers will start to make sense. Learning what to add/combine will greatly improve results.

People post:
Capella is terrible
TFA is horrible
LA SUX

Most of it is learning proper application.

There are a few Excellent Capella Flavor Recipes listed on DIY - give a few a shot.

This is very true. I started with Capella, and had very good results. I tried TFA and that took a while to nail down. Lots of research, mixing and small batches. Stick with it, you will eventually get good stuff.
