I have searched the forum on this particular subject, and, while there are some discussions about symptoms and solutions, I was unable to find a situation like what happened to my wife and her friend. My wife had already been vaping a few years and recently switched to organic VG because of small skin reactions. Her friend just started vaping. Both had boils developing on the bodies. After numerous futile remedies, I remembered that my wife had mild allergic reactions to anything coconut. Her friend too. I realized, after calling many ejuice manufacturers that almost all Vegetable Glycerin is based on coconut oil. (This fact can be found in the forum.) I did find a manufacturer (Kind e-juice) that made Organic VG based on rapeseed (canola) oil. After vaping for many months, neither has had another episode of boils. If anyone has such a reaction, knowing you are allergic to coconut, call the manufacturer. I'm sure there is more than just one that does not used coconut oil-based VG.

Switch to a higher PG juice. VG is a good second choice for those allergic to PG.
There are reasons it wasn't used as the primary base when e-cigs first came out.
Due to being thicker it tended to gum up the atomizers quicker. The first e-cigs
used sonic vibrators then they switched to heated coils which were quite small
and under powered compared to what we have today. VG does produce thicker
vapor but, tends to reduce flavor. IMHO VG also seems to increase the amount
of liquid consumed at a higher rate than liquid made with a higher percentage of PG.
There's clouds and,then there's clouds.

Sounds nasty, glad she found something that worked for her.
Yes. Very bad. She was almost going to go back to smoking cigars. Our friend had boils so bad that they became open sores. Although we figured out the problem she is still a little nervous about vaping again. I'm sure she'll try again later in the future.
