So… I have tried decent juice.. the most recent being Uncle Junks Jon Wayne.. It was nice at first then after a while the smell really got to me. It seams like any juice with a lingering smell bothers me. Some have a smell that is ok. I end up using liqua and being fine with that.. I feel like folks like the nicer juice and I don't seem to. Maybe its me? There has been cheap stuff I bought from fasttech that were ok at first but then the smell and the taste ended up horrible. At least with the high end stuff its just the smell after using it.

I recently got an Istick 30w and E-leaf melo tank. First I tried to change juice and tried my best to get the smell out of the tank and literally soaked it various soapy water alc. etc for 2 days and the smell was still there.. at least it was faint. I gave up trying to clean it and put it to the side. Maybe I will use it in the future. Well i-stick 30w comes with an adaptor to use with other things. I forgot to put it on one day with my protank 2 and it was a disaster the air valve thing fused with the top part of the i-stick30w… I guess while it was heating up the tank something happened all the juice emptied at once somehow and the whole top literally popped off it mid air… springs and what not everywhere.. but the top part in gone. I have no idea where the pieces went. Basically the i-stick 30w lasted me a week and I have a sub tank that I have no interest in ever using besides the drip tip. I thought the sub ohm experience was a bit much for me… I was using it right… I just thought it was a bit much

I have been vaping for about 1.5 years or so and batteries falling throwing out juice etc has been happening the entire time. I needed a new air valve for my pro tank 2 so i got an i stick 10w as well. I have spent a lot of money since I have started. Analogs are expensive here so I guess its not that much. But I feel like there is a considerable amount of frustration involved here. Its not the money as much as the frustration… You expect something to work and then after a while its trash. I do like vaping… But part of me just wants to quit nicotine… throw all this away and never look back

What do you guys think?

I can chime in on the aspire batteries. Lately have only used an istick 20w, and assorted other batteries from Aspire. i have had a few problems with the istick, doesn't seem like a very well built device.

I would recommend trying out a Nautilis mini if you're not happy with the protank, that is where i ended up. The flavor and build quality was so good, I bought the full sized naut as well.

Pair that with an Aspire battery like the ESP 30w, fires down to .3, and max out at 30w. or maybe try a sigelei 50 or 100w, or the provari that Strawberry mentioned. I may have just been lucky, but I have never had any failures of devices, or flooding even. Depending on whether or not you like the box style, aspire has come out with some round batteries as well, like the CF maxx.

When I first started, i used all sorts of tanks and diff twist batteries and whatnot, and didn't really feel satisfied until I got my Nautilus and a good battery. The quality of your parts make a huge difference.

any of the manufacturers or models i mentioned here, I did so because either I, or a close friend owns them, and has had no problems. just some suggestions, ymmv.

as for the juice problems, I don't buy anything not made here in N. America, and even then I usually buy premium juices. To offset the cost of that, if you do keep vaping, consider DIY juice. it is fairly easy, supercheap, and you have full control over what goes into it. If you are super lazy, send me a pm i don't mind breaking down the process for you and saving you hours of reading and youtube videos. ^^

There is also an irc channel for the site, I was able to get quite a bit of help and opinions, consider hitting that up. ^^

What do you guys think?

Sometimes it all hits at once and I get alittle frustrated.

I DIY my juice and I'm a simple man. And I cook for a friend and he's a simple man. But then I got so good I started to get fancy. And fell flat on my face. Me and him been vaping dirty transmission fluid for afew weeks clearing out some bad batches. So the flavor was pretty aweful. So I hit some store bought juice. And found what I'd all ready learned, the best store bought juice is nasty compared to even my worst DIY.

So along about the time my juice isn't giving me what I want I decide to try some new wicking tricks on my RTA's. Kept my daily drive the old way. Well all the new wicks dripped fail. But I didn't have time to redo them. Then my daily driver starts getting hard to draw on which means new wick so I do that and went out.

So now I got bad juice. Down to one tank. And I'm at a Indian casino surrounded by cigarettes. And I don't use my melon and lock my mod and it cooks my juice.

So I says to myself,"Self, it just ain't worth it anymore".

And I could quit vaping.

But then I remember all the other times I quit smoking. I think I have a chemical imbalance and I think what I'm missing is nicotine.

Now before cigarettes are always what I returned to but with a vape shop on every cornor I'm not sure what I'd do if it came up.

So I fixed my stuff. Cooked up a new batch of bathtub vape. Ordered a crap load of new tanks and bales of cotton and miles of wire and I'm back to good.

Until the next time.

Life is a endless series of crossroads. And when you come to a crossroad, take it.
