Well now that you don't smoke anymore, you can actually smell it.
If someone in traffic is smoking and I have my windows down, I can smell it from 3 cars away.

I actually still like the smell of wifts of fresh tobacco smoke, and pipe smoke. Stale smoke though, like when you walk into a smoker's house or clothes from the bar... ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

Various flavors and usually somewhere near 50/50.

Ok, thanks -- VG can definitely collect on things (see people's windshields when its cold) so it isn't out of the realm of possibilities that some weaves/fabrics might hold onto it differently.

I have in the 2 zip lock bags: halo tribecca, southern classic, freedom juice, cafemocha, midnight apple, and twisted java. from mt baker vapor: rainbow sherbert, cinnamon munch, vanishing oatmeal, Graham Cracker, Banana Cream Pie, Johnny Chimpo, Apfelstrudel, Charlie noble Tripoli, and fluffy clouds jynx

now half are in one bag and the other half in another however each bottle is in their own small baggie, but yeah the bags smell so strong and the closet is now overwhelmed by all of them. I also steep them by just not touching them, in the beginning I left the caps off and shook them daily, now I just have time to let them sit, don't shake anymore either, will they still steep properly?

If it bothers you put them in a canning sealer jar, zip locks are not airtight. Regardless, to much baggage for me. My juice is out and about, untethered, free to be.

They won't steep as well, without shaking, but I don't always remember to shake mine either, and they seem to do ok.

I know it's an assumption that you're very new to vaping, based solely on your join date -- but is that true, you just started vaping recently? Because I do think that if that's true, then you will gradually get accustomed to the smell of ejuice, and it won't bother you so much -- it does have an odd smell at first, and maybe only those with very keen olfactory senses really notice it, but at first, the smell of it sometimes made me a little ill -- I clearly recall ranting about it here in some thread or other, when I was very discouraged about whether vaping was going to work for me, because I hadn't yet found "the juice" -- the one that actually allowed me to go all-vape all the time. Now I either don't notice it so much, or if I do smell it, as I nearly always do over on that side of the kitchen, it smells good to me -- it sure didn't used to, when I first started.

Other than that, you might try other juice from other vendors. I personally don't like anything Halo, and some have expressed that opinion about MBV -- neither is really in the "premium" category. Which doesn't mean that you have to spend mega-bucks to get good juice, far from it; but some vendors do seem to have a "signature" sort of taste/smell, and maybe you're picking up on that. Try another brand and put it in a bag by itself, see if the smell bothers you.

I have been vaping on and off with v2cigs since mid 2012 - 2013, it wasn't until 3 weeks ago that I was really trying and I bought a halo triton starter kit that made me quit 2 weeks ago, the first week of those 3, I smoked between 1-8 cigs but my official date was dec 4th. I do not smell halo juices unless I vape them and its only for a little bit except for tribecca, that stays for hours. the other juices by mt baker vapor and other are the ones that smell the most and they all smell the same.. besides me, I have to think of my wife and daughter and my hamster :) especially my hamster because he is in the same room as that closet, though hes 10 ft away but once I go near or open that closet (I keep my work clothes in it) it smells sooooo bad/strong

Ok, then it might just be something that MBV has in their mix, their "signature" -- I've seen others complain of it too, that all their juices taste the same, have that same underlying taste -- I can understand that, because to me, everything at IHOP has the "same" taste, no matter what particular food it is. Maybe just get some other vendors' stuff.

I doubt the smell of it harms the hamster in any way, in fact I doubt if even the vapor would harm the little guy; the only critters I've heard of that has a problem with any part of vaping are cats, with their inability to handle PG. But, do your family members notice or comment on the smell? It really might just be an artifact of quitting smoking -- when I first quit, my nose was so confused, it didn't know WHAT was going on -- even bacon smelled funny -- BACON!!! :D

It's a wild ride, quitting smoking, particularly for those who ALREADY had a keen sense of smell; it becomes more a curse than a gift, but it's just one of those things that go along with ditching the smokes. And it does seem to settle down after a while, though your sense of smell will probably remain a good bit keener than it was. Kudos on the 2 wks!

actually all the years i smoked i always hated the smell of cig smoke while people smoked and on clothes etc i havent noticed if its more intensified. in any case no my wife is proud i quit and she says she cant smell anything, my daughter is complaining about the smell though, when i used to smoke cigs, i would come in the house and she would run to get the febreeze and spray.. my wife complained too about that smell

anyways as far as my hamster, i am a big animal lover so i dont want to hurt my lil guy.. funny how i have evil in my name xD so i will just be cautious i guess, there isnt enough proof yet that vapor is harmless though to yourself or others around you

i do suggest them over smoking cigs because they have 2 chemicals in them or 3 that is known depending if you want nicotine in your juice, while cigs have 4000 chems but now i see commercials saying 7000... huh?? when did that happen? lol

It may be that your daughter is also picking up on whatever-it-is that gives MBV their "signature" taste -- most of "taste" is actually "smell", and kids do have very keen noses -- it's one of humanity's most valuable ways of staying safe, the ability to identify smells that might be dangerous to ingest, and kids have it in spades -- think of it as a survival instinct, since the kids may not be old enough to have been taught what's good, what's dangerous.

Ejuice actually has more chemicals than that; no one really knows for sure exactly what is in the flavor concentrates, but I guarantee, it's more than 1 or 2 chemicals. I keep reading this about MBV ejuice, so I'm wondering if they use flavors that contain diketones -- it has a very characteristic smell that's quite strong.

But you're definitely right that vapor is far less dangerous to anyone than any kind of smoke, particularly cigarette smoke. If the hamster survived that, I think he'll probably be fine with vapor. :) (I love hamsters... they're just so darn cute!!!)

You seem to be a Halo fan, or were how you started -- if it comes up, I'd recommend giving their Voodoo a try. I've found better/same for all of their flavors from others, but voodoo is pretty special and is great in the colder weather. It'll definitely give the room (and your tanks) an aroma, though.

yeah I love halo's tribecca and cafemocha. I didn't like southern classic and freedom juice at first but the more I vaped them the more I liked so those are added to my favs now. I would only use halo's but they are pricey which is why I bought some from baker vapor, virgin vapor, and the local store

and the main reason why I like halo so much is because I tried logic, blu, v2 (none of those worked) and after using the mvp after a week, the tritons are what made me quit smoking, if I jumped to the mvp before using the tritons, I would've kept smoking as im having issues with the device and the juices don't taste that well and are bothering my throat, I even put halo juice in it with the same results, I would just use the tritons but I wanted and still want to try juices that will destroy those plastic tanks

I wish halo made glass tanks.. :\

and thanks ill try that voodoo next

I really think that your problem is that you have your juices are all sealed up in a small space, along with your clothes. They can't breathe, and the flavor is concentrated, and remains on the clothes as well as the air in your closed up closet.

My most used vapes are out in the open, and there is no noticeable smell. The ones I don't use as much are in two fairly well sealed cigar boxes. When I open the cigar boxes, the smell is very strong.

When I visit my mother, who has a very keen sense of smell, I usually have an open container with a few mods and bottles of juice in it. She doesn't notice the smell except when I am vaping.

Last summer, we went camping with the kids and grandchildren. My vape stuff was enclosed in my truck with the windows closed. My juices had a noticeable smell when I opened my truck door. Mt granddaughter thought my truck smelled really good. Much different than when I was smoking.

Anyway, try keeping your juices someplace besides where your clothes are, and take them out of the bags and let them breathe. I expect that will solve your problem.
