All 4 of mine are plastic, as well as the "organic glass" driptips sent with the kits.

All 4 kits were bought within the week they were first released, so maybe they changed materials? Doubt it tho.

The OEM site still states "organic glass" for the tanks and mouth peices.

I should have took a picture last night before I threw the tank out. I went to review a new diy flavor, and it ended up melting my tank. If it was glass as stated, it wouldn't have melted :(

Are we talking about the Tank? Or the Drip Tip. Or Both?

In my case, both. All 4 tanks were plastic, same with the driptips

The tank melted -obvious it's not glass.

Take a coin and tap yours, the sound should be tell tale enough if it's glass or plastic.

Again, maybe first run items weren't glass, idk. All mine were first run I'd have to assume as I bought them the moment they were released.

Not say'n that your Tank wasn't. And if an e-Liquid Melted it, than it Can't be Glass.

But Tank I have looks like Glass. Maybe it is Plastic? Will have to do a Scratch Test when I get Home.

Sorry to burSt any bubbles. But the tank is NOT glass.

Joyetech used some cunning words to sell these... i.e. "organic glass"

It is plastic. As is the "organic glass" mouthpeice they sell with the full kit.

I loved the concept of the ego one as its basicaly a subohm protank(using the clr coils), but I've had nothing but problems with every version/revision.

Only the description of drip tip states it is organic glass, which is a trade name aka: plexiglas in the US, all descriptions of the tank itself I have seen just say pyrex glass. Honestly I have nothing but love for mine and fortunately it has performed flawlessly for me, yes, I do plan on buying a few more ~just waiting for the price drop once the new ones hit the shelves! LOL

The eGo One definitely do Not Fit into the GS-Air Tanks.
I meant to say justfog not ego one, I have the mega kit version thrown in a drawer wasn't satisfied one bit with it nor the battery... The ijust2 kit costs a little above half price, tons of vapor and flavor and the battery is very powerful and well made and can be used with just about any tank or rda/rta (builds up to 80w that is)

If you want to know more about the ego one watch this video ijust2 vs ego one.

yep, seen that video like the day after it posted
helped make the decision to buy the ego one tank series and CLR coils
(just not much of a fan of those big aspire style vertical coils)

eGo ONE tank

Pyrex glass tank covered by a copper sleeve

Brand: Joyetech
Resistance: 1.0ohm / 0.5ohm
Metal Material: Copper
Tank Material: Pyrex glass
Color: Black
Capacity: 1.8ml or 2.5ml

read a few reviews where people dropped and broke the glass in their ego one tank… ?
but I find nothing Official stating it is glass (seems maybe both materials used) ?

:)

I don't like the vertical coils much either but the Eleaf versions do run somewhat better then the aspire ones for some reason anyway I'm using the anyvape segatank v2 rebuildable coil head (vertical) on it and it runs great, in 15 days Eleaf will release their own rebuildable coil for ijust2, Melo & Melo2 (vertical).

haha, that's funny

I'm trying to figure out if the "Triton RTA /RBA"
will fit in the iJust2 or Crown tanks...

I REALLY like that Triton RBA

(thinkin an ijust2 battery w/ Crown tank, Triton RBA)

so I settled, for now, on a build :
30g NiChrome80, 5 times around a 3mm shaft for a 1.44Ω coil
I like I can repeat this over & over & over & over & over & over...

this one seems to work nice with all my eGo ONE tanks and devices
consistency is my main goal now
stuffin with a nice big stubby hunk of cotton
no leaks, no dry hits, nice flavor & vapor – happy for now…

I prefer the smaller air flow passage but would like to use the Gold Pin
so to use the Gold pin (3.5mm opening) I inserted an insulator from a kanger bcc coil
not as airy as 3.5mm, but more than the 1.8mm (guessin 2.2mm ?)

center pin air passage
1.0Ω-1.8mm / .5Ω-3.5mm

:)

The First builds I did on a CLR were 3mm also. Worked very Good.

But on secondary builds, I went with 2.5mm. I think the Air Flow was Better.

some tips I’ve come across using the ego one tanks

•the ego one mini is a real pain to fill (needle required)
•heard some peeps complain about difficult air flow ring (afc)
once the tank is screwed AGAINST the battery, the ring is kinda locked (some)
you need to unscrew the tank (just a nudge) adj afc, then snug tank again
•I use the ‘juice flow ring’ to maintain the “height” of the coil I’m installing
•canned air is a must for these tanks that don’t come apart
•believe the ‘slots’ on the side of coil body are 2.6mm
just slightly smaller than the 3.0mm coil I WRAP
•to reduce air passage (gold pin) insert kanger insulator grommet

You are Correct. And that is why I tried doing a 2.5mm Coil.

So I could leave the Coil on the Coil Master Mandrel. And then lay the Mandrel/Coil in the Slots to give me something to pull on the Lead Wires. And to keep the Coil Aligned why putting the Grommet in.
