i'm liking the look of that ubox wonder why they made it so much taller than the zero.... atleast it looks taller?

Oh it is for sure taller, by 15mm which is significant. I "assume" that they did this because again the intent was a make an original C frame styled mod. So departing from the Zero Modz size/dimensions is one way to do that. I do wish they would have stayed closer to the 84/86mm height of the Zero though.

Ergonomically it still works, but visually speaking the original dimensions of the Zero are perfect.

Oh .. no I meant that for both of them actually. And the embossing is not bad or anything, it is quite nice actually .. its just that I think everything would look more harmonious and balanced if the patterns were a little flatter .. I would appreciate the embossing more on a product that is primarily a "leather product", like a purse or a jacket.

I hate the embossing. I think I would've liked it better if it were flat - more like kidskin maybe. But I'm broke, so it's not like I could buy one either way anyway.

finish is amazing compared to the other ones. chip is in perfect position. battery doors are spot on.

it was the one that was supposed to arrive 4/10 from the US warehouse. I wouldn't know which manufacturer it was from

FC seems to be doing a good job at marketing their Vapor Flask TP-type mods. And of the China based vendors, it looks like FC is getting the lions share of VP/TP clone sales and deservedly so, IMHO.

BTW, does anyone have any info on $44.70-$45.23 Rcomen 50w Variable Wattage Acrylic Box Mod - Transparent ? One photo indicates it's TP, but no info in the description to support this. I'm in the process of wading through the "forum" over there and am at a loss as to how to get a hold of someone who might be able to help w/some concrete info on this mod. Hopefully I'll find a link to someone who may be able to shed some light but so far, no luck.

If FC has a weak area, IMO it's the 'discussion/review/forum' area(s).

I hadn't seen that- thanks Nailz.

It seems that some of the overseas vendors struggle to adequately describe these TP mods. I would have thought the supplier would have simply given the vendor a sheet w/the specs- including info on the temp control part of it. But if this turns out to be a TP mod that has a board that works as it should, I would think there'd be quite a few takers. I mean, just an Evolv DNA 40 board and charger costs nearly the same as this complete mod.

Ok, for Roxy and anyone else who was looking at the Vapmod ... sadly I cannot recommend this unless you are ok with a fixed 510 pin and a significant fire delay from sleep mode.

I am the most disappointed by the 510 .. on the dark brown one most atties seem to sit flush, but not on the tan one though. When I compare the 510's they have different lengths. Not sure what would make the manufacturer use a fixed pin, especially when their first version was spec'd to have a spring loaded pin? Just stupid.

The firing delay is 3.5 secs ... what really sucks is that the chip is decent/accurate (tested at 10,15 and 30W), and it does have buck/boost (steps down and up in voltage output). Sigh ... I need to get over my C frame love, and I keep hoping for the "one", but all fall short in some capacity.

Got them solely through orders. Those gamy-cheesy promo deals (haha sorry Doris ) never worked for me either.

that's to bad Nik! figures... but hey, if anyone wants an original zero style mod with 50 watts, NO fire delay, solid 510 connection and overall great quality PM me and i'll tell you where to get one ;0) love mine picked up the black version and it's great! glad I held out

I'm getting an Evolv DNA 40 board to go into a dead DNA Zero V2 clone. I also have one that works and I use it. A lot, actually. Really like the heft and feel of it. And I love the looks. Not at all cheesy or flimsy feeling like some box mods. So with the DNA 40 board transplant I expect the Zero will be my ideal mod and I'll only have about $65.00 in it.
