I was telling our ladies in skype chat (mattie and keela) this Mom story that I thought I would share here:

My mom thought I was the BEST singer - LOL when I was little she had me sing to all of her friends when they would have get togethers - I would be so embarrassed and crawl under the dining table and sing from there! I remember when Mike Douglas had a talk show and he had this guy come on who recorded Winchester Cathedral with this unique tone and I could imitate it perfectly so she always had me sing that one alot!!!
how funny it must have been for those girls to hear this lil boy singing "...you stood and you watched me, my BABY left town!"
it was about this guy whose girl left him at the alter. i was actually singing to their feet under the table LOL

Wanna share a MUM story?? I JUST may pick a couple of ya to send a cool lil Innokin Lily kit!

I do think you will like it iffin you like a warm vape. I know others will turn theirs up higher but I have mine on an orbit30 (I think that is what this thing is called) turned up to 14 watts. I tried 15 watts but it was just to hot for me and juice pops burned my lips. Some like it hot :lol::lol::lol: but my mama always told me "iffin it hurts to do that, stop doin' it" :D

You are very welcome. Seems like I started at about 10 and worked up to 15 and backed down to 14. Gotta love the fact that we can now dial in our own personal sweet spot.

My mother was a stay at home mom and no mistake. She cooked and cleaned and crocheted and knitted and sewed. And she smoked Pall Mall non-filter cigarettes. That was where I got my start with smoking. Last year, I quit by turning to vaping. It seems only fitting, then, that I get her to quit.

My father liked country and western music - the classics like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams (and Jr.), Waylon Jennings, etc. When he was gone to work, though, my mother had a little stash of vinyl that she would pull out. Not Elvis or Englebert Humperdink or Tom Jones (although she had a few Tom Jones in there), but Deep Purple! That was my introduction to Rock and Roll. By the time Dad was on his way home, the Deep Purple would be hidden away, and Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Tanya Tucker or Loretta Lynn would be on the turntable.

Thanks for this opportunity to share a memory.

I have been thinking about this since I read the thread(and most of my stories I can't share here).....but even though it's been many years I wasn't the perfect child....and the best thing about my Mum was that she was patient and kind....Had she put her foot down I wouldn't be the person I am today....she allowed me to make my own mistakes and deal with the consequences of my own actions...so today I will have a drink (and a vape) in honor of her...."Thank you Mum....for allowing me to be"..
