Help with Profile Messages & Some Explanations Please

Hi,

I haven't logged on to ECF in a while and there are lots of similarities with the old ECF format, but also some new things I don't understand.

-I wanted to leave a birthday gif on a friends profile page but I couldn't find the insert graphic or emoticons or any other message icons? Are these graphics no longer allowed?

-What are 'points' about?

-PMs - are now called "conversations." How are these different, if at all, from PMs?

-Is there a way to personalize the Profile page?

You can still do images on profiles, but you must use img tags to do so and link it from another site like Photobucket or Imgur.

For example:

[img]http://i.imgur.com/knNxwHy.jpg[/img]

Becomes:

Points are just a fun thing. Go to your profile and click on the points. A popup will appear showing you what you've accumulated so far and the reasons.

Yep, Conversations are PMs. No real difference in how they work from the old software.

Unfortunately, profile personalization is no longer possible with the new software.
