We actually got a good rain Friday. The drive back from dropping off my oldest was difficult with high winds and rain in the dark. I need to get out and mow the lawn this morning. The temps have cooled down to the mid 70's so it'll be a nice day to do some yard work.
Fran, hope you are having a good time. Hitt, Ms PT is in KC this weekend and did tell me its cool and had to put a long sleeve on last night.

It was borderline chilly when I walked the dog last night. Does Mrs PT stay near the airport or downtown when she comes to KC? Both have nice hotels.
More than likely a Hilton property but the office is in Lees Summit so a Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn is my guess.
Lees Summit is about 40 minutes or so from the airport so I'd guess she stayed closer to there than either of the places I said. We are about ten minutes from the airport and about 15 from downtown KC.
Just talked to her, she is at a Hampton in Lees Summit, getting ready to go eat with colleagues at a Jack Stacks BBQ in Overland Park. BBQ does sound good!

My mom may have a offer on her house (it was just listed yesterday)....now if only I could get a contractor to follow through. She's aiming for moving here mid-octobe. I'd at least like to have construction started by then...sigh

CES, I totally forgot but you have not even started on the construction yet? I thought you had financing and all lined-up? That was a while back.

Yep, the financing is in process, but to finalize it, i need to have a contractor and I've been stuck in contractor limbo. sigh.
I'm going back to a company that was outside of my original budget, but not too far outside it. Their references are good and they're responsive. I emailed this morning and they're able to meet within the next several days to review the plans and talk about a timeline.

I don't remember if I've had the turkey there. I usually get burnt ends. You should tell her to have them take her to Oklahoma Joe's for turkey. I thought it was pretty good there.
I almost forgot, CES I hope the new contractor works out and isn't too hard on your budget.
Still wanting to put a new kitchen in my apartment here, its not the money but just the hassles of dealing with workers. Good luck CES, well its past mid-night better start winding down.
