I was using UD A-1 kanthal before but I was browsing eBay one day and found an amazing deal for RoHs A-1 kanthal that I couldn't pass up. After ordering I noticed that it was coming from China. So if my question is all A-1 kanthal made the same or did I just waste money on a 100ft spool of kanthal?

Kanthal is a Trademark for a Family of Alloys. And A-1 is a Specific Alloy. Which has Specific Specifications. So in Theory, it shouldn't matter where you get your Kanthal A-1 or who you buy it from.

But... Unfortunately, some sellers may Substitute another Alloy and then say it is Kanthal A-1. I would say that you Probably aren't going to have a Problem. Because Kanthal A-1 isn't exactly Expensive. Just have to wait until it Arrives to see how it works.

Just curious: How much did that 100 Foot Spool Cost?

Well actually I got 550 feet in total. 50 feet 22g and 100 feet each of, 24g, 26g, 28g, 30g, and 32g. Total was $14 straight out of China shipped.

EDIT: Also the listing say that its "iron-chromium-aluminium alloy "

I got the same deal on ebay a good while back. To be honest, it's going to taste like .... All you'll be able to taste is metal. BUT you didn't waste your money completely. I still use that wire to practice coil builds so I don't waste my good wire. I would say don't vape on it because China is known for its sub-par products. It's why they're cheaper. I'm sure you'll still try it just to see if I'm right or wrong, but I'd suggest not vaping on it after that. I got almost 2000 feet total of 26g, 28g, 32g, and 36g from TemCo and the difference is night and day. If you make any coils and compare the builds made with the two different types of wire, one is dull and blackish, and the other is a bright, nice and shiny silver. I'd suggest visiting TemCo, cause the wire from their site is straight from the source.
