Good morning! Hoping things settle down here today, too. Things got a little cray-cray after noon yesterday. Some fancy new project that my manager is workin' on and I got roped into. Not complaining though... with all the recent lay-offs, it's not a bad idea for me to work closely with him for a bit... stay in his mind as a guy that'll do whatever needs doin'. ;)

I'm holding up great sweetie! Muscles and hands are getting better and I've reached the point where I actually enjoy the job and the guys I work with. And to this point, because we worked last Sunday, we're only scheduled for 6 days this week. But this is only Wednesday so who knows. Colton is doing good. EEG is this coming Monday.

That all sounds like wonderful news! I'm glad that you're settling in and that everything is getting a little better for you. Hopefully they'll stick to the 6 day schedule and you'll get a day off this weekend! I'll send out some extra positive vibes on Monday, too. Should be easy for me to remember, 'cause we have an appointment on Tuesday to meet with the clinical trial folks to talk about whatever options they may have. :)

Thanks Sweetie! You and your bride are ALWAYS in my thoughts and prayers. I'll be sending extra to y'all on Tuesday.
And if the schedule does change, I'll take it as more $$ in my pocket and that brings me closer to fulfilling my wish list. :)

Good morning all!

Anudda wunnaful day in da nayberhud.

Took a half day yesterday, hopefully do the same today; working on a little camp project, a small door for the skirt covering the crawlspace. What was there was horrible -- a piece of the corrugated metal skirt for the door, with about a 7" piece of it fixed into the ground at the bottom. Crawling over that sucker was not fun. A full height 37-1/2" door, along wth a coupla wheelbarrows of gravel just inside to provide a nicer surface, should make that a more pleasant activity.

With Bodhi Leaf out of two of my favorite beans, I've been keeping a closer than usual eye on their weekly sales. Looks like I found a winna :) "Zogozotla Lot 22 is a washed processed coffee with black cherry and dark chocolate flavor notes. The Zongozotla Honey contains notes of dark chocolate and walnut."

The BL site itself calls out Lot 22 as a good cold brew bean. I went for 4lb of Lot 22 and 1 of the honey processed -- should be fun stuff :)

BL has a "sweet spot" for shipping, 5 lb. 1 - 5lb is one price, as soon as you reach 6 lb it doubles. Since I haven't gotten a bad (to me) bean from them yet, sticking to 5lb orders is a no brainer for me.

Mark, you've given me a great idea and something else to add to my wish list. The doors to my crawl spaces are ok but an addition of gravel just inside the door would be awesome. Thanks!

We're lucky, got connected to a local stone hauler. We get an unsorted pea gravel mix (some larger stuff, but mostly small) at a decent price -- used it to extend the camp driveway, as a "beach" entrance to the lake, etc. Fine sand is a waste, tends to get washed away during the spring flooding. I always wanted to put some gravel in the crawl space, needed to get rid of that darned 7" lip so I could use a wheelbarrow properly there.

Thanks, Sweet Pea! We're hoping that they have more options than just what we're thinking. The oncologist mentioned Phase I trials, but that's not at all what we want. Hoping for at least a Phase II if not a Phase III. The bad thing about trials is, if it works, they take the meds away at the end of the trial and you can't get them back until they are approved by the FDA. That process takes years... FDA screws us again...

Nice connection to have! I could use a fair bit of gravel to do the walkpath in my back yard. I keep going back and forth on what I want to do with it... pavers, gravel, coarse sand, some kind of plant that is good with being walked on (not a lot of traffic, but durable enough for occasional walking on)... still haven't come to any real decision.

Good morningz all. Lurking around trying to get medical stuff done. Not an easy feat.

Best of wishes, Brother! Medical crap is a PITA... and of course, the military makes it even more difficult.

It's worth asking if someone has an "unsorted pea/small stone" mix. We get it from a guy with his own small quarry, old riverbed About 95% of it is pea to 2", the remainder is larger but pretty much caps out at 6", which is fine for edging. Much cheaper than buying screened, all-1-size, stone.

Good tip! I'll check around for unsorted pea if I decide to go with gravel back there. Of course, it'll have to pass the veto/approval process of the Missus first. ;)
