So I ended up wrapping 3 coils last night, one right after another. I felt like Goldilocks, the first one had no vapor, the second had no flavor, and now the one I have has flavor and vapor, but it POPS and SNAPS with every drag.
Using 28g Ribbon Kanthal, and cotton. Any help would be appreciated!

Is it a bubbly pop..from your wick wicking extremely fast? or a hot spot pop?

I would try round wire and see if you get the same problems.

Was getting the same issue with round wire. And yeah I would say it's a bubbly pop.

I've started that thread. I think I got to about page 15, and people were still tracking their shipments. Lol. I plan on getting back to it bit by bit.

Ok, so after so more research it seems as though the popping sound/feeling is a GOOD thing.... I was used to a smooth draw, this thing is like the fourth of July. Looks like not going to be stealth vaping with this coil anytime soon.

Not sure exactly what causes this, I have two KFLs and one Russian 91 running micro coils right now, 1 KFL pops and bubbles but works the best, the other two are very smooth but don't provide as much vapor or flavor although not bad.

What are you running it on?

Either my 134, Cool Fire II or SVD, all at about 12.5 / 13.5 W
