Check out a blog post by Baditude (our resident battery/safety expert) regarding batteries and chargers. There are other options for a 30A battery besides Sony.

1. Battery Basics for Mods
2. Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised

- choose the safest and right battery for your applications here. Includes a list of name brand, high-drain, safe-chemistry batteries with mAh & amp ratings in 18350, 18490/18500, and 18650 sizes.

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics

Has anyone tried these batteries? How do they stack up to vct5? Any feedback appreciated. I just purchased 1 today, on the charger now. I have a vct4 but not a 5... I will let u know what I think of it when it's charged.

Hello, I have these batteries. They work ok. I have used them to vape at .5 ohm but not below. Usually at 1.2 ohm and 15 watts. They don 't get warm, ever....under those conditions. But they don't last a long time either.
They charge fine in my efest Luc charger. No surprises. My mod reports them as having 4.25V fully charged... haven't bothered to put them on a multimeter yet.

I am semi-concerned as to what they really are as they are rewraps of something else. AWT is the same thing.

I have run these batteries since the day I started vaping. They are a 35A pulse but only 20A continuos so you do need to be careful. However, I have several shop owner buddies that run these in their mechs like I do and they have used .08 coils on them and they work fine. I honestly don't understand how and I am NOT advocating that, but it has been done by several different people I know without any issues.

On the other hand I personally run them on a .4 Mutation X and my .26 Darkhorse and I have never had a problem. As with any battery and setup with a build that low the batteries do drain adequately but I get a good day out of a single MXJO and I chain vape like no other. With ohms law anything below .25 on a 20A continuous battery is getting pretty dangerous but if you know what you're doing then hey! all the more power to ya. These are great batteries and most shop owners will tell you these run better than Sony VTC5 duration wise and they don't get warm as quick. I'd at least say buy a pair (should cost around 20$ for 2 online - 30 a pair in a B&M) and try them out. I will never buy anything else besides the Vamped batteries I saw recently which are 30A continuous and 40A pulse.

Happy Vaping and good luck!

I have a set and they work fine, but they are not actual 35 amp continuous. From what I have been able to find they are 20 amp continuous discharge batteries. Some have said rewrapped LG's

My VTC4's hit harder. But they are decent batteries. They don't last any longer than my sony's despite the difference in Mah rating.
