Or just buy what ever you need from fasttech for under $20 really no need to buy a overprice kit
You probably already have half the stuff in the kit so there is no need to buy it as for Ohm readers unless you use mechs i really see little purpose, 80% of them there to inaccurate for ni200 or ti1 and for kanthal on a VW mod there is no point GL

I was just looking at a tool kit yesterday at my local B&M store. I decided to hold off & check Amazon. I ordered a Coil Master V3 jig, tweezers & cutter for about $24.00 instead. All the reviews I've read on the cheapy Ohm readers in the kits claim that they are way off. My mod does a resistance check whenever I load a new Atty so I will use that instead, hopefully it all works as planned.

In honesty, the coil master kits are overrated. I purchased one and it isn't what it's cracked up to be.

The only two positives, is that everything you need is bundled in a case and the coil jig.

You can buy the coil jig separately and you could make a case for all your tools cheaper. Plus the tools you get aren't exactly premium, they feel one step up from being cheapys. An as other people have mentioned, the ohms reader is worthless. I kind of feel a lot of Youtuber reviewers, give positive reviews so in the future, more companies will send them their products, in hope of more promotion. Pretty sad really. Only reason I bought the kit was off the back of reviews from youtube. I'll learn for the future.

I mean, if you're looking for a complete kit, yeah sure go for the coil master kit, it does make things easier. Though if you don't mind putting in a little effort, for $80, I'm sure you could build yourself something better.

I purchased a coil master v2 and am not very happy with it. The pliers don't close flush, they will be worthless on the gauges I want to use. The ohm reader is junk. I use a mod for ohm reading now.
The coil winding jigs are nice, theres another brand selling a complete set on eBay for under or at $10.
Honestly you probably could build yourself better for $20.
I want the coil tab 521, the v2 kit quality is so poor, I'm wondering if all coil master stuff is poor quality, hit or miss on getting a good one.
