That's right! Just got a new Classic red/Black, and it has the P3 programming in it. So ProVape, what's the deal?!? :D I am not complaining, this was a very pleasant surprise to me, and I have often thought that the two units probably had the same chipset in them with different programming/ firmware. Was my guess correct?

I wish I could check my last two that I bought. But they are packed away for moving day. Settlement is Nov. 21st. It's going to be a long two months.
I did a check on my black Classic that was from the first wave of deep discounted offering, and it's a Classic...this one really caught me by surprise, as I had vaped a tank dry, and was re-filling it and decided to set some things to my liking, and when I looked at the LED setting I was like WHAAAAAATT??? it kept going through all the P3 colors, so then I looked at the recall stuff and saw Ver 40!

WOW! My new red/black Classic is due to arrive any day now. I wonder if it'll have P3 programming too?

But is that a good thing or bad thing?

I've finished reading the Classic manual from cover to cover while I've been waiting for it to arrive so I wonder what will be different...

Maybe I should download the P3 manual for a read as well LOL

I look forward anxiously for your report iBloke. P3 is a good thing in my mind, it has a few useful features above and beyond the Classics capabilities. One of which is the highly contested IQ function, which in my mind is a plus, as I use it to check my pool of batteries condition, and cull those that are ageing and no longer up to snuff.

G'day matey :)

It's arrived, and I've spent the arvo modifying my kanger top tank positive pin so it sits flush on a P3 connection.
Prior to this there was about a .5mm gap

Yes mine has version 40 software, including the boost function...so I'll be reading the P3 manual to glean as much info as possible.
And YES I have the option of going to 20 watts just like the P3

But without having completely read the P3 manual yet I can't say what is different..if anything.

I also added an extra extension to my order for $8 which means I can use 18350, 18490, and 18650 batts.
Currently loaded with the AW18490 that I also ordered, but will be buying an 18350 in the near future simply for the short footprint.

I bought the Classic with my kanger top tank mini in mind, which has proven to be a pretty decent tank with it's mini RBA, apart from a small amount of leaking caused by user error

The cheap and crappy kanger Kbox mini that came with the "starter kit" has "broken" twice since buying it, so it has now become a door stop. Literally. :nah:

Anyway, I'm stoked my black kanger tank with red O rings is now functional again atop a beautiful Provari black/red Classic!

I rebuilt it this arvo with a 2ohm coil (I meant it to be 1.8ohm but messed up a little )

oh and here's my Provari family photo's LOL

It also has the P3 IQ function, and the auto scrolling can be switched to manual mode.

AND it fires my the .54 ohm coil currently in my Kayfun.

So your guess is right ENAUD. This is a P3 board and software in the Classic body.

NOICE! ...especially considering Provape are selling the cheapest P3 (white/black) for $119.95 and the most expensive (titanium stealth) for a WHOPPING $289.95!!

We've got the same board and software in an older style "Classic" body for $49.95 !!

Deal of the year I reckon!!!

I'll be getting a Zombie Classic in the mail today. I'm 99% sure it probably won't have the P3 settings...
So I ordered a black/red one for backup.
...you know, just in case...
:w00t::lol::laugh: Well, you know ProVari mods do like company, so yeah, you had to do it! :toast::thumb:

I'm not a fan of the black/red, so I wonder if the top cap + chipset are easily swappable. Also wondering how I'm going to explain this to my fiancée.

Maybe I can pull the "You didn't know I was a fan of the Portland Trail Blazers?" card.

It helps that I'm an Oregonian. :)
