Reducing pixel size

The procedures for reducing image size hasn't really changed over the years. What worked a few years ago still works today.

The easiest way would be to host the image on a site like Imgur and then link the image on ECF.

For example:

[img]http://i.imgur.com/IA9iSJA.jpg[/img]

turns into:

IA9iSJA.jpg

Except there is a hard limit on the size of the file you may upload to ECF, which is why many need to modify the file prior to attempting an upload. For those who are unfamiliar with graphics editing programs, it's much easier for them to host the image on a site like Imgur and just link it from there.

Yes, which is why I suggested what I have to do all the time because my smartphone takes such large size images ECF doesn't like them. So a few clicks of the mouse and done all locally. Simpler for me and I thought it was a simple solution for the OP who was looking for help. Using simple software that is part of the OS.
