I hadn't seen that term, but then I only saw an article about the iqos a few months ago.
It and a competitor have been on the market for a year or two, just not marketed in the US, that I've seen.

I was discussing these last week or so with a member in Japan. They're big there, whereas vaping is only just getting started (probably due to their restrictive retail liquid nic regs).

They're pretty odd, a bit finicky to use and not terribly satisfying (in his opinion).
I'd tend to agree.
