When i was a kid, I recall hating the fetus too. My dad used to take it out for me and my siblings. I learned to like it eventually. It's just a mind over matter thing pare. Why not give it a shot. Ask your wife to separate the yolk and the egg white for you.

You can score kanthal from eBay. Bought mine for $10 (P420) for 100FT 34ga from Temco. Had mine shipped (free) to a friend in the US though but they do ship to the Philippines.
