- CASAA: Wyoming Call to Action: Oppose a bill that would raise the tax on smokeless tobacco by 100+%
This Wednesday morning, members of the Wyoming Legislatures Joint Revenue Committee will likely vote on a bill (HB 173) that would more than double the tax on smokeless tobacco products like snus sold in the state (from 20% to 40% of wholesale).
To be clear, this bill does NOT tax e-cigarettes and vapor products. CASAA advocates for all low-risk, smoke-free products, and we strongly urge all harm reduction advocates to join us in opposing this bill.
