  • My youngest wasn't transitioned into a crib until he was 10 months old (and then only because he'd decided that diving off our bed was better than sleeping), and at 16 months is still a nursing champ - albeit with some naughty toddler manners. Cloth diapering has changed so much in the last 5 years, it's crazy. I have a huge selection - including ones that are easy enough for my retired naval officer father in law to figure out (velcro tabs that go on just like Huggies). My kids don't have "geek" nicknames, but when my eldest was 3 he taught my mom how to use an iPhone, and my 16 month old already knows how to call grandma on my android. Crazy!
Nice! It's funny when people realize that I'm a woman - I guess "CrunchyGeek" sounds male to a lot of people. In my circle, if someone's "crunchy" it means they're a bit of a hippie/natural parent - organic food, cloth diapering the kids, babywearing, etc. And my husband and I are both computer geeks, hence.... CrunchyGeek here and on Reddit (both sites are HUGE time-drains...)
Thanks! I never pictured myself quitting but our housing is going nonsmoking next week and I figured it's time.
I take my 510 outside and basically pretend it's an analog. lol That seems to help as I didn't smoke inside because of my kids.
