  • Part 2: - I've yet to see my white grommet, around the center pin, disappear in the VAMO head tho...
I LOVE the fact that vapers all over the world are sharing their experiences, enjoyment, problems and fixes with the rest of us! We are sitting in Flagstaff AZ and there is one smoke shop that has juice in town, but nothing other than cig-a-likes sold in the Mall with 'outa sight price'!, where I could get help 'fixing' my VAMO with an adaptor and fixing the low ohms readings so it works every time now! One guy online suggested I pull the pin down a bit on my tanks to help them make contact - and that's what I've done to solve the low ohms readings. Next will be the O-ring fix I believe in the head of my VAMO for a good long-term fix. nancyb

Part 1 (too long) I've been reading the thread about VAMOs and their sometimes low ohm readings - problems/fixes - and saw your question: "Ok, Why are all of you using a 510 EGO adapter?" (in part)
My problem was using Kanger EVODs on top of my new VAMO V2 ($21.50 through a Fast Tech post) 2 wks ago (?)... My EVODs, once attached straight away to the VAMO, worked great (at first) then when removing one, I dumped a tank of juice in my lap - opps - the EVOD had come apart when I tried removing it from the VAMO... so I bought an adapter and now I can grab the EVOD by the base of it to unscrew it from the VAMO... just some info for you to keep in mind - if/when you get a VAMO and try different tanks on it (grin). My evods were also 'cheap' ones and wobbled more than I liked, so I had snugged them down until they didn't wobble - thus pushing one or the other of the pins down too far (on the EVOD or on the VAMO) [continued...]
