The only old GG atomizers I have are Penelope V1 and V2. Both of them take NR wires. I haven't used them in a long time. I have used them with fat wires, along with fat NR wires and it turned out OK. You have to use the same diameter wire for both the R and NR wires. Or twist thinner NR...- Sad Society

What ohms are you building? Sub-ohm? My builds are around 0.4-0.5 ohms using mech mod Esterigon and Tilemahos combo. I don't build my ohms any lower than that. Yeah. I am just recoiling when I need to rewick. It is just easier IMO. No cleaning wires. Wire is cheap enough. I always do the same build with close to the same ohms so its no big deal. :-)- Sad Society

Contact coils for some reason never worked for me...in any ohm range. If the ohms were too high I couldn't get decent vapor. When I lowered the ohms, I always ended up burning the liquid. Simple Spaced coils are the way for me. I was able to fit a 23 wrap simple spaced coil inside...- Sad Society

All my coils are single spaced, and never any hot spots. It takes more time to wrap a new coil rather than clean one and rewick it. The single spaced coils still get gunky. Just not as fast as something like a micro coil. If it was anything other than a single spaced coil, then I would have...- Sad Society

Also on the note of cleaning and dry burning coils. If it were deemed that burning coils is really dangerous and not safe at all, even if you wash it afterwards, then I would be willing to just replace the wire altogether. What about heating the coils to glowing and then washing them? What I mean is that sometimes washing a gunked up coil with a toothbrush doesn't completely remove the gunk. Yep, soulseek. The guy at my local vape shop said that vaping with Titanium wire 'seems kinda sketchy.' I think he only said this because he doesn't have info about it. This shop also rebuilds coils for customers who can't (or don't know how to) do it themselves. And they were burning...- Sad Society

Imeo's right as usual. I didn't want to mess with my Esterigon button at first because I didn't want to end up with a non-working Esterigon. I took the button insulator out using the end of small scissors. Somehow I was able to screw the pin into the insulator without it constantly turning...- Sad Society

Thanks for the reply and advice imeo. I would try what you said about using pliers to get the plastic insulator out of the button. But at this moment I don't want to mess anything up. I am still able to use Esterigon at the moment and I even took it to the bar tonight with a not so great...- Sad Society

Imeo my friend. I have been using Esterigon exclusively since this mod came on the market. Very heavy use and it still works good. But I have a slight problem. Somehow my button insulator (the plastic inside the button) got messed up. And the button pin that screws into the insulator does...- Sad Society

A lot of ppl don't understand that the construction of a mod is of up most importance. All GG mods that I have seen are built to withstand the test of time. I am able to fully disassemble a GG mod to clean and check all connections if I need to. The same goes for GG atomizers. GG is breaking...- Sad Society

I will try the 14500 Proteus. I think the goal was to make a powerful ecig using VIR in the smallest form possible. It's not a problem if I have to carry an extra battery or two. I already carry an extra battery in 18650 mode, even though I rarely need it if I go out with a fully charged...- Sad Society
