The best I have come up with the size of the bottom ring is 10mm OD, and 1mm thickness. I maybe off a bit since I was measuring a ring that was already used and therefore enlarged a bit.
Yes, the type of cut makes a big difference in RYO. But I do see a difference in color between the two versions. Just wondering if you have noticed the same.
Their Norwegian blend is popular among smokers. Whether it is good for extraction is another story. As an example, I prefer Turkish Export over the 84 version when I roll a joint. As for the extracted versions though, I understand from the comments above that the opposite is true.
I wouldn't mind buying the authentic if the didn't "bilk" you so much. $12 for a set of o-rings ? I'd rather quit vaping ....
oops, I checked again, and it's not $12 - more like $3.95, and probably better quality than FT. Hmmm ...
The o-ring on bottom of the base is most likely 10x1 mm. My local hardware store does not carry these metric rings. Theirs is based on inches. Someone posted a link earlier for an online store that carries the metric kind.
I've ordered the same pack, but until it gets here, I probably would find better o-rings at my local hardware store. What size do you think the o-rings are at the bottom of the base? I am thinking perhaps 10mm by 1mm thick. Or else 9 by 1.
Exactly magic, because the thick one does not allow the Jfc to completely close down. The problem is they didn't send the thinner o-rings. Here is a picture of how it looks completely assembled. As you can see there is a gap in the juice flow holes.
One of my kayfuns came with a completely different o-ring installed on the bottom of the base than the other two. Different diameters, different thickness. I suspect this is the main cause of the dry hits/leaks many have been experiencing. As you can see from the picture both o-rings are...
Does anyone know the specs for the bottom o-ring on the base? I found this one by a random search #9x1 mm

Now I am really confused. A couple of others like Katya and Swampus recommended right handed coils. You guys trying to confuse a newbee? I guess in the end whichever works to keep the legs away from the air hole ...
Correct me if I am wrong, but all you have to do is turn one of them around by 180 degrees, and you basically will have identical coils. The loops will go in the same direction, and the legs come out on opposite directions...
